I think it was a brilliant episode. Black Mirror is always good, but this one just hits something special. I appreciate the message it sends about reality... Fans of Nine Inch Nails (notably the song Head Like A Hole) will both hate it and then love the ending. Ps: I only realized it was really Miley Cyrus at the end (I thought it was some actress that looked like her on purpose).

I love that the bad guy is not a pure evil for once and the sisters are also not linear. Plus the Jedi are not perfect, though they were well intentioned and their characters are pretty cool (notably Jecki, Sol, and old Torbin).Some claim it does not respect the Star Wars lore : I fully disagree. The "Sisters" are already portrayed in other Star Wars productions and the notion that Jedi are always perfect is silly. I find the situation rather realistic. Sure, the writing is not always perfect, but since when are Star Wars series really perfectly written without any plot holes. The flashbacks in time were stretched too far or repetitive, but I felt the story was good albeit rather surprisingly tragic for Star Wars (which can be a good thing). Nonetheless, it may be best that there is no second season planned anymore. The story is complete and ended. Producing an extension can often just break the magic of the first story.

Episode 1 of Season 8 convinced me that the best ending should have been when they find Padre, leaving the audience imagine whatever it could be... / While there were moments in seasons 5 to 7 where I felt some actions made little sense, every few minutes of this episode had me asking myself "How does this make any sense? Is that really the same character? Do any of the authors from the previous seasons remain?". There is so much incoherence and unrealistic situations in this first episode of Season 8 that I have to give up and spend my time doing something else. / The young actress though was good and was the main character. She is the redeeming quality of that episode and so I gave it a 5 instead of lower.

I appreciated Season 6 because it has original situations and moments that are not seen in the other The Walking Dead series (I cannot give examples without spoiling). Plus, I continue to like the characters and the quality of the acting. That said, some rare moments can be odd, stupid, where some characters can do crazy things, as if the writers are trying too hard to surprise us. But it was rare in my opinion in Season 6, unlike many stupid actions seen in Seasons 4 and 5 (which were generally still enjoyable due to the good characters and acting). Overall good and touching in my opinion.

Season 4 starts very strong but, near the end (episode 7), sadly perverts the personality or nature of some core characters to surprise the audience or to subvert expectations, which just makes for bad writing or a bad story. Some core characters suddenly become sociopaths and do things that make truly no sense; I mean trying to kill good people who are not their enemy at all and against whom they have no reason for vengeance. They lose their nature in a way that is not credible at all. That said, I still give Season 4 a 7/10 because there are some really good moments in the first half of the season, some original new characters that are interesting, and some good stories even though it goes downhill hard in episodes 7 and 8.

I would rate seasons 1 and 3 as quite decent and entertaining, but consider season 2 not worth watching at all. Season 1 - Some very interesting concepts. It touches on nuances around terrorism, including from where it is born. It also portrays a US drone pilot riddled by the guilt of killing faraway unknown people. All around interesting. Season 2 - It was like a 1980 action series, where patriotic propaganda is more important then making sense. It no longer felt like a somewhat grounded spy show. The last episodes of that season are ridiculous. Season 3 - While portraying a caricature of an evil mafia-like Kremlin, it is a good spy show, and oddly grounded in international politics that turned out to be quite close to reality. It also just feels better directed and better written. The actors are also just all-around great.

I just loved it. I laughed rather often, aloud, but the writing and acting were quite good. I grew attached to most characters and there are many nice surprises, that do not break the character development. I am a fan of tabletop roleplaying, among other fantasy games, so that may have an influence of my liking. I would not mind a 4th season ! Poor Guillermo de la Cruz needs a next episode !
