'Gud game'. Even better VR game. *I need 75 characters to post this review.

Boneworks is an intriguing game centered around the premise of 'physics'. It really goes to display what a full featured 'physics sandbox' could playout in VR. Unfortunately, while the physics can be viewed as a key feature, it is also a very big weak point (you'll encounter many physics bugs). Overall, it feels like an expanded 'tech demo' with narrative progressed using 2D video. Still a fun game, but far from the 'Killer App' we've been waiting for. Quick Impressions: -After completing the main campaign, the game is about a ---7/10--- when compared to other VR games releasing in 2019 (Stormland, Asgard's Wrath). To those giving Boneworks a 10, what will you give Half Life:Alyx when it releases ? A 10 suggests Boneworks is 'just as good', which is disingenuous. - Inverse Kinematics (IK) body: Boneworks takes a minimalist approach to IK. While more established games like Asgard's Wrath and Stormland use onboot arm-length and height calibration, Boneworks only uses height calibration. With Boneworks only using height calibration, it not surprisingly leads to more glitches with the users ingame upper extremities (example, guns chamber has collisions with your arm). -I will say BW reeks of Half Life and Portal influence.I am very disappointed the story narrative is told using 2D video, I'm surprised not many have mentioned this (I mean come on this is VR!) -Gunplay is pretty good. The most satisfying part of the game for me. They really nailed the gun mechanics. -Music is pretty good, I find myself spontaneously grooving down to some of the songs (I've read some say the music is better than the game) -The 'OMG BW = JESUS/Killer app' hype is just that, hype. Although, it's still a fun game and I would recommend it. That said, I thought the RoadToVR review was pretty good (6/10) and if anything BW makes me more hyped for HL:Alyx (especially since HL should have a much deeper and meaningful story behind it)

Decent VR game that can made near amazing with mods (only possible with the PC version). If mods were officially supported then it would be a 10/10 game, but instead it's a community offering from conversion of Skyrim Special Edition mods. Game in it's dated base form is a 7/10 when compared to full-fledged VR games that offer better native controls. Overall, a worthwhile game and a good play for all VR owners.

Robo Recall - released in 2017, but reviewed in 2019. It's still one of the great VR experiences to date. While I originally played the game upon release in March 2017, I still find myself going back every now and then to just experience the awe and fun of Robo Recall. It's a game every Oculus VR owner needs to play.

Fun game that becomes a workout regimen. The base game can become stale, but the frequently updated DLC offerings and modded library (PC) offer a wide range of song/map styles. Beat Saber is a must play game for any VR owner.

Stormland features probably the best traversal system for VR to date (slipstreaming, flying/gliding, climbing). I have 25 hrs in the game and it will probably take me another 10 to finish the game with the 'secret ending' unlock. Gunplay is adequate, enemies are repetitive, but gameplay combined with traversal system is addicting. Campaign takes about 5 hrs to complete, but Stormland encourages the player to go through the cloud gameworld unlocking more difficulties and secret audiologs that supplement the backstory of the game. Overall, while not as great as Asgard's Wrath, Stormland is still a worthy title based on the traversal mechanic alone.

Average game, rushed ending. It showed a lot of promise with the E3 demos, so I'm not sure what happened. Disappointing for an Oculus Studios title. Worthwhile playthrough if you can grab the game on sale.

A great FPS shooter hampered by expensive and exploitative 'lootboxes'; which could be argued as glorified gambling for kids.

VR Action RPG at its finest. One of the first games that gets sword play right in VR (parrying and blocking). It's not completely physics based combat (like B&S), but unlike the pure physics based games the sword play in Asgard's Wrath is challenging. The textures used are very detailed, just looking around and exploring the game world is fun! I'm only 7 hours in and I've only played a small fraction of the content. Asgard's Wrath offers a lot, but is it fun to play ? Heck ya it is ! I've been waiting years for a VR game like this, there's just so much quality here. TLDR - want a FUN high budget made for VR action RPG that promises 30+ hours of gameplay ? Then Asgard's Wrath is your game !

Pretty fun Arcade style game. 18 characters all with unique powers; and in VR it's a lot of fun. It's a Co-op Brawler. However, there's about 8 maps, but the objective is the same for each. Could have been a better launch by Sanzaru with more game modes and varying playstyle, but they've already stated and confirmed they're working on updates and free DLCs; so hopefully the repetitiveness will be addressed with a simple update.
