Less than suitable performance for sub standard graphics in 2014 gives the impression of a poorly optimized game. The so called Skirmish mode is not skirmish in any traditional RTS sense, and does not allow you to jump into dynamic battles on various maps in a way you would expect, but rather plays out as a campaign. Nor does it feature any co-op vs AI. To make it worse, the game does next to nothing to explain, or teach, its game-play. The community around the game also leaves a lot to be desired, with members quick to jump at people who bring up an opinion on the game that does not match their own. A regretful purchase and not one I would recommend to friends (or enemies).

A game that unforgivingly punishes you for your mistakes, with death never far away even against the most lowly of ingame characters. There is none of that fetch quest back and forth nonsense here as seen in the likes of Skyrim, just a deep dark, surprisingly interconnected, world for you to lose yourself, stripped back of all the gimmicks used in many other games. Frustration will give way to a rewarding feeling of achievement, as you learn your way and progress.

An unoptimized, clunky Left 4 Dead that can't decide what it wants to be, with character dialogue that would feel shamefully bad in even a B grade horror movie. Its only plus point being that the zombies are much more like the slow stumbling type most of us associate with the genre, and that require a head shot to be taken down quickly. Also, despite your characters looking like fairly able bodied people, they cannot run from one room to the next without panting, grunting, swearing as though they are a 300kg behemoth that has never seen a days exercise in their life. Nor can they climb simple fences that somehow the stumbling zombies can climb over with relative ease. Game aims for realism, but makes an absolute mess of it, while delivering its terrible one liners. Peek-a-boo!
