Paper Mario: The Origami King7
Oct 15, 2020
There's simply no reason to engage in battle, besides replenishing confetti, which is plentiful most of the time. As a longtime Paper Mario player it's good to see partners are kinda back... you just can't control their actions for some reason. Graphics are on point with the paper theme and the writing is really good. I think this game is a lot better than Sticker Star and Color Splash, but it fell short achieving the greatness of the first titles. It's disheartening to know how little Nintendo is willing to listen to their fans and limiting their creative muscles themselves by sticking with the same old characters. Toads everywhere.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps9

This game is a step up from its predecessor in almost every possible way. The combat is fluid, art is beautiful, music is memorable, exploration fun and the story engaging. Aside some weird random stutters and the perceivably lower difficulty, this game is amazing. Even if Metroidvania-style games are not your cup of tea, you should not let this gem pass you by.

Ever Oasis8

This game's really charming, it's like a mix of Zelda and Animal Crossing. Looking for residents, expanding your stores, garden and oasis overall is addicting. The dungeons, although few and far between, are mostly well crafted and interesting. Unfortunately, changing partners to solve puzzles with their unique abilities is a bit of a pain, because you have to return to the oasis many times and if you sent them to explore either you waste the invested resources to bring that particular partner back, or wait until they're done. Aside from that, I really enjoyed it.
