Morphite is a mix between Metroid and No Man's Sky. It's a first-person space exploration game with very clever platforming. The art style features minimalistic polygon graphics that fit the switch perfectly backed with a very pleasing 80's synth soundtrack. The story doesn't really pull you in but you can ignore it and spend countless hours exploring the procedurally generated planets of different systems in your ship when random events can occur where you can take control of your ship, like a battle or an asteroid field. But if you do choose to follow the story you will be met with clumsy voice acting, an un-engaging plot, and clunky "boss battles". Each procedurally generated planet offers its own ecosystem full with unique flora and fauna which you can scan to get biological data which can be sold for the game's currency, chunks which along with the minerals that you naturally come by with can be used to upgrade your weapons, scanner, and different parts of your ship. I don't know about the other platforms but on the Switch, you will encounter a fair share of glitches, bugs, and frame-rate drops. But overall, I recommend this for people looking for a sci-fi first-person platformer or a No Man's Sky experience on the switch to pass the time while waiting for a big release.

If Tim Burton married **** Valley and Minecraft, you'd get this game. It is a tough as nails top-down survival game where you stop at nothing to stay alive, you kill prey, collect faeces, chop trees, mine rocks, make friends with pigs, craft tools, and create machines all while looking at a beautifully crafted environment with an eye-catching art style made up of a dark colour palette and muted colours featuring a well-timed day/night cycle. This game is brutal and punishing but incredibly addictive; it will not hold your hand, once the beginning cut scene ends, you're on your own. I recommend this for anyone looking for a tough survival game on the switch with addictive gameplay and cleverly designed mechanics.

A minimalistic adventure full of mystery, intrigue and adventure. You play as an AI helping a stranded scientist; you sort her inventory, manage her fuel supply, take samples of unfamiliar species, and improve your relationship with her on the journey. Recommend for anyone looking for an engaging sci-fi, story driven experience with great mechanics and gameplay.
