Not what I was expecting. I really did not enjoy the combat at all. I really enjoyed the combat from the original and for them to make this game into a button mashing beat-em-up was really a huge dissapointment to me. The graphics and story are still really good but their choices to make original characters no longer playable is also a huge letdown for me. The game was definitely made for a new audience and not much care was given to those that played it in the past. I found the combat to be such a chore that I don't think that I will finish the other parts once they come out with how poor the combat is now. trying to imagine all the bosses and parts from the original in the new combat system seems like a very grindy chore and not one that would be worth mashing buttons for. Also having enemies you cant even hit with certain characters is one of the most annoying and outright stupid thing i have encountered yet. yes lets have an enemy that can just shoot from the sky and kill your chars while the ones on the ground are bashing you over and over till you cant potion anymore and you die. I don't believe almost any of the reviews here that gave it anything over a 7 played the original at all. If this was your "perfect" game then the rest of your life is going to me a huge let down. Don't expect anything you enjoyed from the original other than some story and the chars. Other than that its a completely different game. The Term "remake" is hugely misleading Should have been called FF7-2.

Biggest Dissapointment and Waste of money of the year. On PC this game is UNPLAYABLE. Locks up every 15 - 30 min even on a really good PC. Lags constantly and if you can get a party together to play **** Zombies then go buy a Lottery Ticket because you have some incredible luck. Campaign is pretty lacking as well as it was beaten on Veteran in about 10 - 12 Hrs. They really screwed us pc gamers over pretty big time with this because if it was a console version we could at least get half our money back by selling it. No such luck here. Just an expensive paperweight. I have had betas that ran and looked better than this game does in its Retail version. Thanks for being another company that dumps on the end user. I will not be buying any future games from Treyarch and I suggest that you take your money and buy games from other developers that continue to fix things after a games release and not just twiiter about meaningless crap.

If you have been looking at the game and are trying to decide whether or not to pick it up I would say do it with out another hesitation. The game is Fantastic! It looks very nice while having great solid controls. I have read alot of complaints from people and after playing it for a few hours I cant see what more you could be asking for. Its also well balanced. Its exactly what you could want from this style of game its fast paced and and **** you in from the moment you get behind your first plane! I played it with the 360 controller and from the getgo had no problems what so ever. It would be nicer if you could navigate the menus like they were buttons and not like the controller is a mouse. When I first installed I had the physX issue and followed the fix and boom was up and running after less than 3 min. Plus after seeing actual developers in the forum helping to fix things was almost shocking. I cant tell you the number of games that I have purchased that failed due to things like lack of controller support and bugs that have simple fixes but they don't help the end user to get it working once they have their money. This game is not only extremely fun and addictive but is being handled by people that actually seem to care if the people playing it are enjoying it. Kinda rare today. You guys should keep up the great work!!
