In a world where the longtime leader of the genre has become complacent and unwilling to put in the extra effort to improve due to no real competition, Vewo Interactive jumps in the ring and knocks it out of the park. A wide variety of monsters to collect with likable designs, a unique battle style that is as much familiar as it is different, and far more freedom of exploration than Pokemon has honestly ever had complete with optional areas and side quests. If you enjoy monster catching and battling games you owe it to yourself to give this one a shot

I enjoyed this game very much, It suffers from some performance issues under certain circumstances usually involving being outside but the important and/or more action heavy parts of the game happen indoors and in "otherworld" dimensions where the game runs just fine. Story-wise I don't like it as much as the first one but I don't think it ever had a chance really. As a sequel though I feel it enhances the world of Deadly Premonition in a positive way and I found it just as fun and charming as I'd hoped. If you're a fan of the first game and want a new adventure to pal around with York you'll find it here in spades
