Cities: Skylines10

I played only for several hours but so far I just love this game. I've played since years not only SimCity4 but also the Anno/Settlers series, although the latter great games can perhaps not be compared here as city building games. However, with this, I can now enjoy another good product. No comments on SimCity. I did not buy SimCity due to bad reviews and feedback. Great job for this first Cities Skylines release, which seems very stable and well implemented/tested. The "complexity" is maybe not (yet) that huge, but I really can not complain for the 28 Euro price. I hope, this is just the beginning and more content will be released soon. So far, thank you Colossal Order. And goodbye Maxis.

The controls are just horrible. Simply could not play over an hour. I payed 60 euro for this and now can not play it properly. Why in hell was this changed completely to annoy the players of DAO and DA2. This was really a horrible mistake, which I can not undo anymore.

I think all of this DRM, forced online connection to disconnecting servers and even forced clouding and no local saving is all a bunch of crap. I've decided now to not buy this game. So far, I rather keep playing my Simcity 4. No server problems there.

Just started playing but this title seems to be a better paradox title. Many game mechanics and looks are very familiar and very paradox style with a lot of reused software and graphics. However, I find CK2 so far better and bigger than e.g. Sengoku.

I like this game, although just started. This feels first like an expansion to Anno 1404. But it seems that the complexity has increased for this Anno quite a lot, which I actually prefer. The quality is also remarkable. Just the medieval touch as in earlier Anno is here missing, but after playing for few hours "in the future" you dont care actually, in which universe you're playing. This Anno is a finely crafted product and is very absorbing.

This is another great Paradox game. Offcourse this is a completely different league than the casual mainstream rts titles and it perhaps requires for once a bit thinking in order to enjoy this well made strategy game. It seems however, regarding some bad reviews, that these days strategy game players expect that the game plays "by itself" and that it has no tactical challenge but only graphical eyecatchers to offer. And frankly, I could give those kind of games, in which "a lot happens", a zero score, but I guess I wont as I don't try them in the first place.
