Ever since Netherrealm Studios aka Nether$u€k@$$ took over, the series has severely gone down hill. Its very clear that the new studio has no respect for the Klassic fans as is evident by the quality of each new game they produce. This was the final straw & for me this hurts because my martial arts name comes from this series after I was trained in Klassic Sub-Zero's M.A. style. The story line is laughable, the new characters they created appear to have been created while they were drunk & their focus on what the new generation wants with blatant disregard for the life long players is an abomination. I have disowned the series & will not play it again until a new company takes over & they show not only that they have respect for this once great series, that they are competent but also value the life long fans in their products.

I have played every Resident Evil game that has been released & this game throughly pissed me off the point that the series lost a ton of allure with me. First I play video games for fun the way they are supposed to be played. Yes they are supposed to be challenging but not to the point of no progress/absolutely infuriating. On medium you get 24 bullets & it takes 19 bullets to the head for 1 regular enemy. Plus there are barely any ammo pick-ups & nothing to defend yourself with while 5 enemies are attacking at once. For over an hour, I kept dying cause I had nothing to defend myself with against 5 enemies attacking. That isn't fun, that is absolutely inept to the highest level. It pissed me off so bad that I deleted the game & will never play it again. Not only that, I buy the top of the line edition for the Resident Evil games so I just wasted 70-90 dollars. I will give Resident Evil 10 a chance but if its the same BS, I will disown the series indefinitely. I'm not going to keep spending that kind of money on a series that I can't even progress on, is that irritating & I end up not wanting to play it ever again cause I'm just wasting money.

I've played every game in the series & I throughly enjoyed this game. It was fun, pretty scary at spots & all around a good ride. The only thing for me that kept it from a 10 was that in order to change your decisions, you had to replay the entire story again from that spot. But my least favorite of the series is Devil in Me which was not very scary, rather boring & the only time I couldn't wait for a game to end so Directive 8020 was definitely a ginormous step up from that. Overall a great game, would definitely recommend.
