The games starts you off as a nobody that has no talent when it comes to combat or other useful skills such as lockpicking or stealth. And when I say that you have no talent, I literally mean no talent. In the beginning it’s hard to even open a “very easy” lock and to hit a target dummy with a bow. This might make it seem like the game is broken. But in time your character will get better and it’s a great feeling when you start to get good. Other than that the story is engaging, even though its simple, and there is a lot of things to do. At release this game had a lot of game breaking bugs, therefor I originally had it rated as a 6, but most of that is now fixed. Even though it’s still quite buggy, it’s nowhere near the level it previously was. However, the game is not as polished as a many other games which is one of the biggest drawbacks with the game. But the atmosphere and immersion this game manages to provide outweighs the games lackluster polish. Overall this is a solid game that provided me with much enjoyment and was different enough compared to many other RPG’s to stand out in my mind, much thanks to the games approach to semi-realism. Would recommend to anyone who likes RPG’s with a little slower pace than normal.

This is the first Animal Crossing I’ve ever played. I love similar games so I thought I will give this a try. However, it’s not as funs as I had hoped. The game has a lot of charm and give me that relaxing and laid back feeling that I was looking for. Though it somehow feels a little lackluster. It stats out very slow and progressively gets better. But it never reaches a high enough point that I feel drawn to it. Most things get repetitive fast and it doesn’t feel as rewarding as I would like. It’s also to simple for my taste, both when it comes to difficulty and depth. I still play it for a few minutes every day, though it does not provide as much enjoyment compared to other games. I don’t regret the purchase, but It’s not a game I would recommend to likeminded individuals. However, I can see how it can be enjoyable to some people.

In many ways it reminds me of a mobile game. It lures you in to start with but after playing it for a while you quickly notice the grind and it only gets worse and worse. It constantly tries to get you to spend money on microtransactions otherwise you must keep grinding with the unrewarding gameplay as an alternative. Even if someone were to spend money on microtransactions you are left with a shallow game that lacks meaning and long-term enjoyment. The different game modes lack attention to detail with no noticeable improvements compared to previous installments, and due to its shallowness they feel more like illusions of game modes instead of an actually complete game. The only redeeming qualities are when you play with friends on the couch, but that does not by itself justify a purchase.

At the core this is an amazing game. The gameplay is good and satisfying and the game itself is packed with fun elements. The game truly shines when playing with friends and the fact that it’s easy for newcomers to pick it up and play means that I can enjoy it with all of my friends regardless of their prior gaming experience. My only big complaint is that the online mode is not implemented in a good way and that it lacks a good competitive system. Due to that my motivation has quickly dwindled for playing the game online which negatively affects my opinion of the game as a whole.

The good thing about the game is the outstanding gameplay during the games actions sequences, which there are plenty of. Though its implementation of an open world is very poor and is lacking of enjoyable content. The map is riddled with side activates but unfortunately these are way to repetitive and simply not fun to do. The fact that you also have to take part in these activates in order to upgrade your equipment forces you to do things that you may not find as entertaining. There is also something about the pace and the setting of the game that feels a little bit off. It feels like you are jumping from gameplay area to gameplay area without it feeling coherent enough which ruins the immersion. And the world itself, even though it’s pretty, feels un-interactive and bland. In the end this game suffers from a common flaw in games nowadays, it is way too shallow. The story is ok and the action is great but that’s not enough for me to praise the game with a higher score.

A game with great potential which is unfortunately ruined by a predatory use of microtransacitions. Every mode which includes microtransactions feel like a grind and lacks a balanced and natural progression. The game also feels like a big commercial platform for itself that constantly tries to get you to spend more money. The things that’s still good in this game are those modes that’s not affected by microtransactions. Taking control of a team and playing single player is still fun and it’s also great when playing with friends on the couch. This makes it an overall okay game but with very limited content. So in the end the microtransactions ruins what could have been an amazing game and turns it into a less than mediocre experience.

This game is like nothing I’ve ever played before. It’s like a mix between an RPG and a visual novel. At first I was very skeptical of the game and I didn’t really like it for the first couple of hours. But I kept playing and before I knew it, I was hooked! The game itself is very long. It probably one of, if not the longest linear, story driven, single player game I’ve ever played. The game spends a lot of this time on character development and lets you slowly establish and build your relationship with those around you. It’s not afraid to “waste” time on everyday activities where you just talk and have a good time with your friend, which in the ends makes the characters feel much more real than many other games. Even though there are some negatives in the game such as the clunky controls, lack of voiced dialogue in some conversations, a low variety of voice lines during combat that is used way too often and some other negatives, overall I found the game to be amazing! The story and characters hooked me to the game and the fact that the journey lasted a very long time makes it even better! The game had almost everything from a good story and characters to a nice art style and music and it also provided a challenging gameplay that somehow manages to throw in a bunch of humor and creepiness at the same time. An amazing game and I look forward to a Persona 6 in the future!

A fun and relaxing game that’s perfect to play when on the go or with friends. The game is very well made with a lot of charm and you can tell that Nintendo have invested a lot of passion when making the game. The local and online multiplayer is where this game really shines. It provides a bigger challenge when playing online and when playing with friends it’s easy for those who don’t play games that much too just jump in and play alongside you. The racing part of the game is also very satisfying and fun and feels very polished. Though there are some problems with the game in my opinion. I wish there was more tracks that was a bit longer. Most races last only about 3 minutes and it would be nice to have more options in the lengths of races. The game also has a problem that it can get boring fast. It’s not a game that I can play for a few hours and still feel entertained. Most sessions only last 30 – 60 minutes before I want to stop playing. It somehow starts to feel repetitive and does not offer much variety and lacks meaningful progression and rewards. Though after putting the game down and returning the next day I have no problem in playing it for another 30 minutes when on the go. Overall the game is a fun, casual game that’s perfect when I just want to have a bit of fun. Though it does not offer anything extraordinary and works only as a bit of temporary fun for me and my friends, but it does that job very good and I love playing it from time to time.

A fun and extremely charming game that’s great when you just want to relax and have a good time. It takes the concept of harvest moon and not only makes everything better but it also incorporates new ideas and gameplay mechanics in a brilliant way. Everything from the farming to the combat to the character interactions are great considering the type of game it’s trying to be. Though the game is not without its flaws. After playing it for a while things start to get repetitive and things like farming feels more like real lives chores instead of fun gameplay. The game also loses the sense of meaningful progression after a while and after that it loses traction in trying to push me forward in the game. Though these flaws are only based on my personal opinion and these feelings might not apply to everyone. Overall it’s just what I wanted from this kind of game and I loved playing it. Though it is not one of the most memorable games that I’ve played, it’s defiantly one of the most charming. If the game had clearer and bigger goals to accomplish it would have hooked me for a lot longer but the magic of the game wore of quicker than I would have hoped. But in the end it’s a good game and I would recommend it to everyone that want to play a charming and relaxing game.

At the core this is a good game, but some design decisions and what feels like a lack of development time ruins what could have been a great game. There is a lot of quest and stuff to do in this game, but unfortunately it focuses more on quantity instead of quality. Most quests are boring and most things you do feels like chores instead of entertainment. It might be fun on the first planet but after that most quests feels boring and repetitive. And it’s not only the quests that are repetitive, it’s also the enemies and the creatures on different planets. And in a game that focus a lot on exploration this repetitiveness is a lot more noticeable. The combat is also not very fun in my opinion, even though it feels a lot better and is not as stiff as the other Mass Effect games. But the cover system feels very clunky and the fact that you are limited to only 3 active abilities when there are around 20 to choose from makes me frustrated and wishing for more options to have FUN in combat. In its current state the combat feels very bland and lacking things to make me feel entertained. With that said I actually I still enjoyed the game even though it have a lot of flaws. I never found any major bugs that annoyed me and I was fine with the facial animations that a lot of people have criticized the game for. What made be appreciate the game is the overall setting and tone of the game and I liked the story and the characters, and in my opinion that is the most important part of a Mass Effect game. I managed to quickly feel immersed in the world and loved the first hours. But the repetitive nature of the game made it worse and worse the longer I played. After playing it for some time I kind of wished that the game was over so that it wouldn’t taint my experience anymore. Luckily the main quest managed to stay varied and therefore I found the game enjoyable until the end and I do not regret purchasing it... but the developers could have made it a lot better than what we ended up with.

One of the best RPG’s I’ve ever played and I still return to it now and then. The story and world this game sets up is simply amazing. From how the game starts where you get to choose and play your own origin story to the way it ends is very enjoyable and the journey throughout the game is fantastic. It also has a lot of interesting and complex characters that join your party, though some are much more interesting than others. I felt connected to the world and characters and took time to read every bit of lore and hear every story that I could. It had a very familiar approach to its world compared to many other western RPG’s but it’s very unique at the same time. The combat is also very fun in my opinion, though it’s not for everyone. I love strategy games and love the strategic approach this game has to combat. The only major complain I have in that area are the bosses. They are usually not harder they just take longer to kill, which is not much of a challenge, just time consuming. This game also offers a lot of content. There is a lot of quests to do and due to the fact that you make choices throughout the game it also offers a great deal of replayability. It simply put is a fun and interesting world with a great story and a lot of good content. An amazing game in my opinion!

It’s an improvement over Dragon age 2 but it still leaves much to be desired. The story and characters are good, not great, but still good. And it managed to keep me intrigued throughout the game. The world also had a good variety with a lot of different places to explore. Though a lot of places are not very interesting and the approach to a more open world fails at multiple times. The combat is like a mix between an action game and a strategic game but it’s not a good mix in my opinion. I feel like it should choose to either go back to the way Dragon age Origins handles combat and make it more strategic or make it a full-fledged action game. At the moment it’s like the game has an identity crisis and don’t know what it is which gives combat a weird and unsatisfying feeling. And a lot of things in this game is simply boring, unfortunately. Even getting new loot is often boring. The main problem in that area is that most armor look the same, except for color variation. And to top it off the armor that you get don’t look epic in the slightest and in a fantasy game that is a big mistake. But the main problem I have with this game is how it somehow feels like a single player MMO. There is a lot of quests to do but most of them are boring and repetitive and they lack variety and you don’t get invested in them. It simply has a massive quantity over quality approach which makes a lot of the content boring. If I compare it to Dragon age Origins there were not as many quests in that game but the quests were much better and much more enjoyable. You could ask the quest giver questions concerning the quests and you got involved in it before you even started the quest. But in this one it’s almost as if someone just says “Find my lost brother in this area, I beg you” and that’s it. In the end this game gives you some of that grind feeling that an MMO provides, and I don’t mean that in a good way. It lacks focus and gives you content just for content sake with no real thought behind it. But I love the dragon age universe and the story and characters kept me going and that is what saved this game for me. Overall it was an enjoyable experience but it could be MUCH better.

I’m not a fan of linear single player action games, but this one is an exception. At first I did not enjoy this game that much, but after playing it for a few hours it got hard for me to put down the controller. The game has an amazing atmosphere and somehow manages to create diverse locations in a world full of snow and mountains. It has a story that is simple yet complex that drives the character progression forward between the main character and his son, which develops without rushing anything. But that’s not the only thing the game has to offer. The combat is slick and enjoyable but above all it’s extremely satisfying! Everything from the way you kill enemies to the sound of your axe is just pure satisfaction. It also handles the loading times really well, which is often overlooked, which makes the game still enjoyable on the hardest difficulty where you die a lot. Though the game is not perfect. I wish I had one or two more options when it comes to the weapons because it can get a little repetative after a while. Other than that the exploration system is also flawed due to the fact that the loot gained thru exploring feels useless and to plentiful. The game also has a character stats system that is poorly implemented and some content in the game feels to "gamey" for my taste which ruins the immersion in certain instances. But even though the game has some flaws it provided me with an overall enjoyable experience and I managed to get lost in the world this game had to offer.

It felt like the developers made it into an open world because it’s popular but they had no idea how to make it good. The Sims games have been part of my life for a long time. I started playing the first one when it was released in 2000 and have played every new release after that. Every game in the series have made big improvements, compared to previous versions, and made it a more enjoyable game with new and exciting mechanics. Every game… except The Sims 4. The Sims 4 takes a few minor steps forward in some areas but takes giant leaps backwards in others. The positives are not many, tough they are worth mentioning. The best change is that it’s now easier and simpler to create a sim and you have greater control over the appearance. And when you play the game your Sims can now multitask, which is a nice change, but not a huge change and don’t make a big difference. Besides that the game runs much smoother than The Sims 3 and you don’t need a good computer to play the game. But that’s about it when it comes to the positives. Sure there are some other new changes like the graphics and the new mood system. But those are neither better nor worse than previous games. They are simply just different and don’t change the game in any meaningful way. The negatives on the other way are plentiful. Simply put there is less content in every area. There are less traits, less careers, less customizable settings (can’t for example customize how many days every age period should be), less furniture’s/stuff, no open world (which is a HUGE step back), can’t customize clothes, no cars/transportation and on it goes. There is simply less of everything. But my BIGGEST complaint about the game is the removal of story progression. In this game your neighbors don’t do anything with their life except grow old and die. They don’t get new jobs and promotions, they don’t marry and have kids, they don’t move out and new Sims move in, they don’t make new friends and live an active life. This makes the world feel bland and boring. The only thing that happens is that when a whole family is dead the game generates a new one and move them in. And the way the other Sims in the world act in public areas feels extremely fake and forced. When you go to a public location a lot of Sims spawn in and join in the activities, which is how the game should be. But if you choose to leave and go to another location the majority of the people in the previous location have now also decided to follow you and go to the same place. Which makes it feel like that the only reason other Sims are there is to fill up the background and that they are there for your amusement and not because they want to. Which makes the whole game feel fake and chatters the illusion of a life simulation with real individuals. This game is a huge disappointment and the only reason I could recommend someone to buy this over the Sims 3 is if their computer can’t handle the Sims 3. Overall it feels like the developers didn’t even try to make a new and exciting game. If they at least would have tried to make something new I could understand that it lacks content compared to previous titles. For example if they made it into an online game or changed the mechanics completely, then I at least could understand the reasoning. But there is no excuse for what has happened to this game and in the end it feels like a money grab without any vision or passion.

This is the first Football Manager I’ve bought in 4 years (due to the fact that there is not enough changes every year) and I’ve had a great experience with it. The amount of control I have over my team is great and the game looks better than ever before. And due to the depth of this game I can get lost in it for hours, days, months and even years. This game offers a lot of content and different challenges that keeps me going for ages. But there are still some problems in the game that has been in the series for a long time. A lot of the problems that are the most annoying according to me are those that arise in saves that you have been playing for a long time. For example that the game almost never creates big upsets or changes in the footballing world. The teams in the Champions league are almost all the same year after year. The top teams in the biggest division are almost all the same too. The only chance for something new and exciting to happen is for you to control a team and make history yourself. And there are a lot of other problems such as the game becoming very slow after a few years and other problems that arise in long saves. Bur the developers will probably never fix these due to the fact that they want to you buy a new game every year and making the game last longer is not something that's in their interests. But the game is still amazing and offers a lot of content and enjoyment and is well deserved of a high score.

This game provides a different experience compared to most other games. In a lot of ways it’s more like an interactive movie than a game. What makes this game special is its focus on storytelling and cinematic complexity. This games wants you to feel for the characters and to get into their mind. And in my opinion it does a great job fulfilling that goal. On the other hand the gameplay on its own is not spectacular. The controls are kind of clunky and unintuitive and it’s no real complexity in what you as a player are doing. It’s mostly controlling your character and deciding what they should do. But there is really no need for more in this case. This game had me invested in the story and the character throughout the whole game and I truly enjoyed the experience. The pacing of the game was good and the game opened up and became bigger and bigger the longer you played. The amount of content in this game is unbelievable. You get a lot of game time compared to the money you spend purchasing it. And there is a lot of different things to do in the game. The game had an amazing atmosphere, great graphics, unique quests and I loved the card game named Gwent! As an action RPG this game does almost everything right! But there are some minor flaws. The combat could be better. If I compare it to other RPG’s then this game does a great job. But compared to other actions games it’s a little bit lackluster. Tough I still enjoyed it and it was a massive improvement over the last two games. But it could have been a little bit better compared to how good the rest of the game was. Other than that I did not like the fact that every point of interest is marked on your map. It removes some of the explorations aspect of the game. And the game fails multiply times in its attempt to be an adult game. This is something a lot of people have praised the game for but I on the other hand feel is laughable (though the Witcher 3 does a great job in this area). When the game tries to be mature, cool or edgy I usually face palm or start shaking my head or straight our start laughing. It feels like some scenes are written by young teenagers. And its attempt to be mature ends up feeling very juvenile. Having adult content is not the same as having a mature game. It’s how you use the content that matters. Letting two adults have sex all of a sudden because it’s cool is one example of how the adult content makes the game feel immature instead. Other negatives in the game are: - Bad UI - Stale facial animations - Bad sound mixing - Bad pacing in the story - The Potion system is terrible - Many reused character models - The game is short - Bad transitions in/out of cutscenes - Bugs Even though it has its flaws, the story and the quests and characters made it a fun experience. But it could have been so much better than it was.

I started playing this game without knowing much about it. And I quickly learned that it’s not a game for me. I actually didn’t like much about this game. I will grant it the fact that it’s innovative in certain areas. But other than that the game was just a bore. The gameplay was lackluster, the story un-intriguing and the graphics were ugly. I actually started to yawn a lot during my time playing this game. Because the game had so high ratings I tough that maybe I was having a bad day and therefor did not like the game, so I stopped playing and didn’t really think about it. Now almost 2 years after initially playing it I started it from scratch to see if my first impressions 2 years ago were wrong. But my feelings are still the same.

It takes a long time until you learn to play the game efficiently. But once you do the possibilities are endless! This game offers a lot of content compare to other games and you can keep playing this for years. This game have given me more value for my money than any other game and it's definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played!
