Diablo IV2

So this is the point of view from a casual player looking to play single player. None of the complaints about balancing, nerfs or the endgame complaints from someone looking to sink 500+ hours in a game. I approached this game expecting an uninspired but solid game that I could complete the campaign and move on. I have a backlog of games to play and I don't need to play something forever. Sadly despite my bar being set really low I was disappointed. -Gameplay feels lacking with very few builds or diversity. -For gear yellow rare items can be as good as legendary which is bad in that legendary items can and often do roll lower than yellows. You can transfer traits but that requires large amount of resources and you can only transfer once. for something you will replace in a couple levels it ****. Many of the skills are super specific to just one build making most legendary items completely useless. -Rubberbanding/sliding constantly. Sometimes during lag spikes which I believe are mostly server based. Not a new issue since diablo 3 also had online always but still ****. -collision with my own units making movement awkward(played necromancer) would sometimes need to move around to get minions to randomly move out of the way of object i wanted to interact with -open world is fine if it adds to the immersion or exploration but it felt more like the open space was an obstacle to getting into more fights. ignoring 3-5 mobs not worth dismounting became the norm and I just ran from quest to quest with my horse when it was unlocked. -The story was kind of so-so but it didn't really complete and left it super open ended to try to draw you back for more. If it is only added to seasonal I likely will not pick up the game again since leveling is a chore and the main campaign was long but not super enjoyable. The overall end result is a game I wanted to play just to complete and didn't really enjoy. I ended up completing it only because I had the mentality of "I paid for this so I may as well finish". I was extremely tempted to drop difficulty part way through campaign not because it was hard but because I wanted to be done sooner. By the time I unlocked Torment and completed campaign I was done with diablo 4 and did not want to touch endgame or try getting unique gear. I regret my purchase and do not recommend unless you want to burn time and money and have nothing better to do.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons0

To the people who call the backlash an unjustified review bombing you probably are playing single player and have no issues. To rank a game on just a part of it and expect everyone else to ignore the giant issue and give the game an A+ is stupid. Also there were complaints about single island before the game even came out and they never bothered fixing it. The only way they are going to fix it is by people vocally saying "It's a problem and making the game unenjoyable to many". I wouldn't mind buying a 2nd copy of the game but needing a 2nd switch at the cheapest 260$ per switch plus the games 80$ each for a whopping total of 680$(CAD) for two people to enjoy their own island is absurd. There is no point in buying a 2nd console just for Animal crossing alone. Nintendo is turning into Bethesda/Blizzard. Wouldn't be surprised if mtx and lootboxes or other "surprise mechanics" on the way. When you have a game that you own and can't even get yourself motivated to play it despite loving the genre and 100s of hours in past entries simply because you have two players and one console you truly deserve a 0.

New Gundam Breaker0

FPS aside this game is a giant disappointment. I loved gundam breaker 3 and although this is it's own game it's a mess just looking at it as its own standalone. First off the game stutters, changing between menus there is a lag where you can't do anything. That however is a minor issue compared to game play. Game play: -Auto targeting imo is sloppy and hard to choose your target. -For ranged aiming there is no aim with sights option like last game and your left to try aim at enemies directly in front of you with a view directly behind you(your gundam is not transparent). - Parts are dumbed down and there is no random values at all anymore or upgrades. -Dashing is no longer really dashing and there is no way to dodge anymore and stagger from being hit is awful which makes melee hard/impossible since even trash mobs cam stagger lock you. -mission objective extremely confusing. You get points based on objective and mission rating is how many stars you get before completing. Sometimes its ideal to ignore main mission so you can do side objectives but you'll have [main] destroy 4 target enemies [3*] destroy 4 target enemies. there is no option to pull up objectives and elaborate Overall i was excited that the game was being brought over locally without having to get the English version imported through online vendors but this has been a huge letdown. Issues are beyond a mere patch to fix and i'm now worried about the gundam breaker series as a whole. One plus side is since they named it "New gundam breaker" they can still release "Gundam breaker 4" and we can pretend this abomination never existed.

Fable III3

I'll start this off with mentioning the fact i played both 1 and 2. Fable one i loved so much I no lifed it and beat it in less than 24 hours. 2 was even better since there was a larger selection. Moral choices, earning money and weapons are what made this game and they screwed both aspects up. Weapons: -They reduced the selection of weapons -All weapons were fairly balanced with minimal differences between them so no point in changing. -All weapons upgrade with you through game so even less reason to change them. you can stay with your first weapon for entire game. Earning money -more jobs which is nice and improved house system -point in earning money and becoming a mogul is removed since THERE IS NO POINT IN CHANGING WEAPONS. why earn money to buy badass weapons when there is no badass weapons to buy anymore Morality -End of game is essentially not about whether you were good or evil throughout game but what you want to do in the end. If you are broke you are forced to go with evil options... if your rich you can buy your way into sainthood and choose good options Basically in the process of making the game easy and streamlined for new players they killed the game for anyone willing to put time into it.
