This game isn't bad, but sadly I was very disappointed. It's unfortunate because this game has so much potential but everything falls on the average side. The visuals are absolutely amazing for a 3DS game. There is so much customization available in game, from LBX model type to weapons and even your robots internal programming (think Megaman Battle Network). At the end of the day none of this matters because the game doesn't make it matter. Without touching anything I was able to run through the game way too easily. Side quests are there if you're interested, but I just didn't see the point. Still worth trying for anyone with a passing interest in robots, Gundam or anime especially at its current going price.

This isn't the best looking game. The combat isn't perfect. The level design doesn't change too much. The story, while interesting, isn't that great. And yet I had a really hard time putting this game down when I started playing it. The magic to this game's combat is the loot system where you collect the weapons, etc. of your enemies. The large variety of weapons keeps you wanting to experiment and the story is just enough to intrigue. If you like robot combat games like Custom Robo, you should give this game a try.

Way back in 2002 I could see the point of this. In today's day and age, there are much better ways to play these 3 classics on a portable. If you insist on playing this version, just know: -The music in all three games is ear grating. Not only this, but the games are missing whole songs. -There will be a few graphical glitches. I haven't seen anything game-breaking, but there were a few oddities. -The AI in Golden Axe particularly ****. The game feels much easier than the original. Despite all this, the games are still fun. I got my copy for less than a cup of coffee, so at similar price points I can easily recommend it (with the volume off).

I've always considered this game one of my guilty pleasures, and really I shouldn't be ashamed. While not for everybody, this game has some addictive qualities that keep you coming back for more. I will be the first to admit the game play is pretty much non-existent. The fun of this game comes from carefully planning and assembling your program deck and watching it conquer the opponent. Coupled with the great music and characters of the Battle Network series, this game deserves a better reputation than what it has.
