Forza Motorsport 71
May 26, 2018
I bought F7 when it came out for PC. It is the first and the only one full price "AAA" racing simulator I have ever uninstalled from my PC while still being a new game, after about two months of playing. I give +1 for it's car selection. Other than that, not worth buying and I regret purchasing it. Luckily there are several AAA PC racing sims out there for us to choose. Forza 7 has artificial pretended feeling, tons of completely pointless content, F7 world is very far away from the racing world. I swear this will be the only title made by Turn 10 studios I will ever buy. Did I already mention I regret buying it?

18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul9
May 27, 2017
Retro game review. 18 WOS ALH Steam version. This is for those really hardcore virtual truckers: 18 WOS ALH is still a very good game in 2017. Because it really challenges you. Do you think you're a tough virtual trucker? Try ALH and tell me how it went... Did you make a fortune and became the ruling trucker king of the continent easily as you usually do in ETS2 or ATS? Yes, though so too... ALH is so hard it is hilarious! Game is published in 2007, so it has no fancy graphics. The physics is far behind of SCS's todays quality. Which makes it even harder and more fun, if you are a really big truck game fanatic and enjoy hard gaming. I have only 100+ minutes in this game at the moment, but in my opinion I know what I'm talking about when comparing this old game to ETS2 and ATS. Happy gaming ;)

The Crew1
May 27, 2017
Warning, the Crew is a shoddy but nonetheless expensive game. It is awful, horrible crap. There's only one thing done right: it looks somewhat good. Everything else is bad. Bad game design. Slow and crappy sign in process and loading. Extremely bad driving feel and "physics" ( it actually does not have anything like physics in it, in the meaning this word is normally used ). Avoid this old caricature of a driving game, it was over hyped back then, and it sure has not become any better during these years. I give it 1-. Ew...

City Car Driving9
May 27, 2017
City Car Driving Steam version. The pinnacle of "civilian" car driving simulation for your home PC in 2017. Many developers have tried, you can find them in Steam also, but please, don't get fooled. City Car Driving is in class of it's own, a light year ahead of it's rivals. It's a learning tool for car driving and traffic with no game in it. Good looking... yes, nowadays, but it's still not a game. You can have much fun with it, if you like car driving like it is IRL on the streets. Which is fun of course :) When driving this simulator, I like GPS assisted free mode the best. Adjust the parameters of how long routes you want and how often, and the sim calculates random routes for you, and you still get completely free driving periods too. The career mode is like you're in driving school. It can be fun and useful for those who prepare for driving school IRL. But for old hands like me, it's also fun to test yourself against the game. Yes I can drive very well in reality, but can I beat this PC little program... Usually this kind of home simulator's advertising is completely faulty. Not this time. This is a real car driving simulation with real traffic rules and working AI. Car handling is true enough, if you drive normally like you should as a part of normal traffic. AI traffic is 100x times better than in rival games. Graphics are of course important in creating a pleasant experience. Luckily City Car Driving has whoppingly evolved, and again beats the rivals 6 - 0. Yes I recommend City Car Driving, if you like real car driving. And I recommend using Steam Workshop too, you get some unbelievably good car models to drive there.

Ride 29
Apr 2, 2017
This game is gorgeous. Awesome. Gran Turismo for motorbikes, except this looks much better. When you are watching a video of the race you just finished, it actually looks better than Milestone's promo pictures! Virtual bikes have never been this glorious before. Even Valentino Rossi the Game, Milestones jewel, an official Moto GP simulator, cannot beat Ride 2. Many may not agree, but I like the spirit of Ride 2 more. The game has enough difficulty options, everyone can learn to ride it. Physics feel believable enough. For me it was a little bit more difficult than virtual car racing in the beginning, took about an hour to learn basic driving in easy mode, but you will propably be faster, I'm an old fart. If you love bikes, you will love Ride 2. Gorgeous vehicles, awesome road sceneries, true to life race tracks. Ride 1 was somewhat unfinished, the sequel is finished and polished **** A1 game. Riding feels fast and furious. Of course when you sit staring at a monitor... it can't be anything like riding a bike physically, oh why I wrote that boring no-brainer. But when you are doomed inside, there's -15 celsius outside, and the summer is just a far-off dream, Ride 2 can save your mental health. I recommend this game.

American Truck Simulator10
Mar 19, 2017
Look here other casual simulator developers. And fellow gamers of course! This is how a so called casual simulator should be done. ATS is relaxing, beautiful, and everything really works. Everything. And Really, not only in your day dreams or in developers dishonest advertising. Even the physics work enough to be quite believable when you drive normally. Almost all the other casual simulators in Steam are such rubbish, especially those where you drive something, for example trains. Even the newest ones of them, it's quite sad really. But American Truck Simulator is like from a different world, worth every penny. Or let's say it aloud: in fact it is cheap. I'm a heavy equipment driver by profession ( not mainstream road trucks but even heavier stuff on rubber wheels... ), still when the weekend comes, I may fire up American Truck Sim and enjoy simulated driving and some superficial company management duties. Customising the trucks is also quyite satisfying sometimes, after you get rich... An example of quality: I have attached Logitech wheel, Fanatec H-gear stick, Fanatec top quality pedals and Xbox controller to my PC. And the keyboard of course. I can use these all when playing SCS truck simulators. It all works like a charm, never failing. Everything is fully customisable for my needs. I really appreciate this SCS. How is the gaming experience then? The most important thing when we're talking about casual simulators. It's relaxing, engaging, pleasant, and conveniently challenging. Perhaps different than you expected, most likely better. Beautiful sceneries are one element of this of course. Sometimes gorgeous sky and weather conditions. Look at videos in Youtube! SCS's newest truck sim is top quality. ............................. ( I could write this praise for good old Euro Truck Simulator 2 too, except one thing: it's oldest vanilla scenery is not up to todays standards in my opinion. Can be repaired though, but it's another story )

Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul5
Mar 18, 2017
Reviewed two days after Train Sim World was published in Steam. The real consumer version, not beta. What a letdown. I don't know how Dovetail managed to make this bad graphics with Unreal 4 engine. In comparison to other Unreal 4 engined games this has ugly vegetation and clumsy cardboard cities with nobody apparently living there. Average gamer PC gets 15 - 25 fps, high end machines getting 25 - 45. Imagine that. More game design faults: this PC game recognises only two controllers, namely Xbox 360 controller and one type of UK keyboard. Other controllers owners - forget it. Train sim specified controllers some train sim addicts own - do not work. If you have other than United Kingdom QWERTY keyboard, don't bother. Or try if you want to but you will have sorely missing functions for example in train brakes. Try then to drive simulated train with only about 50% of brake functions working.... you simply can not. It's a game killing design fault. - - Oh but you can remap controls, says one famous youtuber and Dovetail. No you can not! It's a lie, remapping ain't working at all, as many purchasers have painfully found out. Including me. I'm a very experienced train sim hobbyist with thousands of hours with MSTS, Dovetail TS2012 - 17 and Trainz 2006 - TANE. Painful history with various train simulators have made me careful. I don't believe for a second in Dovetail's promises about patching all bugs and faults ( yes there are plenty of them, I just scratched the surface.) So I asked for refund in Steam and got my money back. Steam deserves 10+, but this new simulator gets 5-. It's no good.

Euro Truck Simulator 29
Feb 26, 2017
If you like relaxed real life driving with an ordinary car, and want a relaxed gaming experience, get Euro Truck Simulator 2. It will be different and better than you expected. Many people have surprised completely after trying this. Kind of meditative game perhaps, it's hard to explain, but it feels good :) Watch youtube videos by Squirrel and Jajamurata. Squirrel's videos explain very well what it is all about, while Jajamurata has captured the "meditative" side of the game. American Truck Simulator is the younger brother of this. Same game engine, same mechanics, but different atmosphere. Both are superb. Both games also have free demos available in STEAM, try them for free before you buy.
