Resident Evil 7: biohazard - Gold Edition8
Sep 17, 2026
Resident Evil 7: BiohazardBefore the release of RE9, I decided to finally play through 7 and 8, since I had never played either of them before. I basically only knew the general story and some of the lore.Overall, I really enjoyed it. I was a little worried about the first-person perspective and whether Resident Evil would even work that way, but it turned out I had nothing to worry **** game is fast-paced and there’s plenty of horror in this one. It still has a lot of those recognizable Resident Evil elements. People often say that the story in this series has turned into some kind of Japanese nonsense about evil guys doing evil things for no reason, but I’ve never really agreed with that. I still enjoy following the lore and reading all the notes, just like I did in RE1, RE2, RE3 and RE4.I really liked how well the Baker estate is designed. At some point in the middle of the game, I was doing an optional little side activity where you have to find a location from a photograph to get some kind of reward. While looking around the interiors of the house, I suddenly realized that this was pretty much how my childhood imagination pictured Resident Evil 1 on the original PlayStation back in the early 2000s. You can really tell that the developers put a lot of effort into the environments.I also liked that there are optional puzzles, another classic Resident Evil feature. You can solve them and get some useful equipment, or you can completely ignore them and continue with the main **** shooting feels good, the Molded react to being hit, and you can shoot off their limbs. There were even a couple of moments where my palms got sweaty and my ass clenched a little The game definitely knows how to scare you with jump scares and tense music.Overall, RE7 once again reminded me why I like this series so much, at least the games I’ve **** for the negatives, I didn’t really like how suddenly the game throws you into this completely helpless section where all you can do is run and hide. It felt like the developers briefly thought, “What if this game was 70% hiding from enemies?” Thankfully, it’s nowhere near that much — the actual hide-and-seek sections probably make up 20–30% of the game at most.I actually enjoyed the ship section overall, but it did feel like it was made in a bit of a rush just to wrap things up **** by the way, I found the story perfectly understandable. Everything is explained well enough, and the plot twist was actually pretty good and not nearly as predictable as I ****, if you love RE1, RE2 and RE3 and have been thinking about playing RE7 but are worried that the first-person perspective or the change in style might disappoint you, I can definitely recommend giving it a shot. As someone who really likes the classic Resident Evil games, I was pleasantly surprised.I also played the DLC, and I definitely recommend it. It was interesting to see what happened to the Baker family before the main events, as well as find out what happened to some of the other characters.

Resident Evil Requiem9
Sep 17, 2026
I’ll start by saying that I’ve played through the game twice. I honestly can’t remember the last time I finished a game and immediately played through it again, but I’ll get to that **** console, the graphics look good, but I wouldn’t call them groundbreaking. They’re simply nice-looking and a little better than what we got in RE8. From what I’ve heard, though, the difference on PC is apparently night and **** DualSense is used really well in this game. The vibrations are excellent, and when you’re walking through water, the controller really makes you feel it. I played with headphones, and the sound design also impressed me — everything is on a very high level. After finishing the game once, it left me with that feeling of “that wasn’t enough, I want more.” At the same time, though, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the game didn’t fully live up to its potential. It felt like the developers could have done so much more with the things I experienced. But after waiting a couple of days, I went through it a second **** I’m seriously considering going all-in and getting the Platinum trophy with infinite ammo, just running around and blowing everyone’s heads off with Requiem. I still want to spend little more time in this world.Overall, it’s actually difficult to write something truly meaningful about the game, because I think pretty much everything that’s here is good enough to justify buying it and supporting the developers. Capcom are, in my opinion, one of the few studios in 2026 that still genuinely seem to care about making their games properly. There are already technical breakdowns showing how much effort Capcom put into the development and optimization of the **** first half of the game with Grace is absolutely fantastic. I’m a big fan of this type of gameplay. I opened every safe, checked every room, read all the notes, found lockpicks — I genuinely enjoyed exploring everything. I also really liked the shooting sections with Leon.I even liked the color palette of Raccoon City, which I know many people complain about because everything is too gray and depressing. But the city has been hit by a nuclear bomb. It’s a burned-out wasteland of ash and “glass,” and that visual style emphasizes the finality of its destruction and the tragedy of the **** time of day also works really well. The late-afternoon light and the colors of the sunset add this feeling of exhaustion to the whole picture — the exhaustion of the city, the exhaustion of the protagonist, and the exhaustion of everything that’s happening.I also want to separately mention the return to the R.P.D. Obviously, it triggered a huge wave of nostalgia and emotions. I genuinely got goosebumps during the segments showing Leon’s past. He came back to the place where everything started for him, and with the beautiful music playing in the background, it was hard not to feel something.I liked the shooting, and the way zombies react to being hit is also really well done. The zombies in Grace’s sections in particular are . They’re all different, and each one has their own story and history. That’s a really cool detail and makes the world feel much more believable and **** interiors are also beautifully designed, and the lighting work is excellent.Overall, I think the artistic presentation has improved quite a lot in this game. The story itself is a little weak, in my opinion. The setup is great, the cutscenes are fantastic, but the whole story feels almost like a prequel to something **** looking at the game as a whole, everything just works. There’s honestly nothing I can point to that would be a major enough flaw to say the game is bad or that it doesn’t work. You have horror sections, and you have more action-focused sections, and the balance between them works really **** my humble opinion, the game isn’t too short or stretched out. I’ve seen people saying that it’s too short and that another five hours should have been added. I completely disagree with **** game ends at pretty much the right moment, and instead of feeling like it dragged on, it actually leaves you wanting to do the in-game challenges and replay it. And that’s something I normally never bother **** for the negatives — or maybe more accurately, things I wish were better — there are a few:- The puzzles feel a little too simplified. The game barely gives you a chance to actually use your brain and figure things out yourself.- There’s no dismemberment system like in the RE2 remake, where zombies would realistically react to damage thanks to that awesome technology.- There’s no photo mode.P.S. I completely forgot to mention how much I liked the level of brutality in this game. At a time when so many games feel overly sanitized and toothless, having a game with lots of blood, plenty of scripted death scenes for the protagonist, and lots of brutal zombie finishers feels really refreshing. That level of violence fits this game perfectly.

The Callisto Protocol8
Sep 17, 2026
So, I’ve finally finished The Callisto Protocol. My rating is a solid 7.5/10.I know the game was heavily inspired by Dead Space, but that doesn’t automatically make it a bad game. Being inspired by something doesn’t mean there’s nothing original or enjoyable about it.What I liked:There’s a really good variety of locations throughout the space station — laboratories, basements, hospitals, settlements, mines, and so on. Everything still has that overall sci-fi/space-station aesthetic, but each area has its own recognizable look. There are also tons of little details everywhere, and you can clearly see that the developers tried to make every chapter feel different from the previous **** graphics and atmosphere are excellent. I took a lot of screenshots while playing this game. For comparison, I only took a couple of screenshots during Indiana Jones. That probably says something about how much I liked the visuals **** game doesn’t hold back on gore either. There’s plenty of dismemberment, lots of brutal death cutscenes involving the protagonist, and enemies can get absolutely destroyed and torn apart. The gameplay works perfectly fine for me. It feels pretty well balanced, and you can decide how you want to play — focus more on firearms or rely more on the GRP glove and the melee weapon.I was never bored. There was always something happening, and you can’t just mash one button and beat every enemy. In most fights, you actually have to think ahead and decide who you’re going to shoot, who you’re going to take out with the glove, and who you’re going to beat down with the melee **** the game isn’t really scary, which is actually a plus for me. That’s pretty much what I expected. It’s more disgusting and disturbing at times than genuinely **** cutscenes are also really well **** for the story, I think it’s perfectly acceptable for a horror game. I honestly don’t understand people complaining about it. It’s not some masterpiece, but it’s not garbage either. It’s a pretty standard sci-fi horror story: scientific experiments, something goes wrong, things get out of control, and then everything goes to hell.I mean, how is the story in Callisto any worse than the Resident Evil series, where even the developers seem to have lost track of what the hell is going on at this point? And I really liked that the game is linear. I feel like we don’t get enough straightforward linear games these days. What I didn’t like:Some of the bosses have these almost cheat-like scripted mechanics. Basically, the game doesn’t always let you choose how to deal with them. At least two bosses basically force you to use the specific strategy the developers **** example, you have to dodge → attack, and killing them with your guns simply isn’t an option. I would have preferred having more freedom in how to approach these **** the biggest downside:There’s no other game set in this universe. I spent around 21 hours on the main story + another 5 hours on the DLC. But I wasn’t rushing through it — I’m a fan of the genre, so I took my time and enjoyed **** the ending actually surprised me quite a bit. I genuinely wasn’t expecting it.

inFamous: Second Son8
Sep 17, 2026
Playing inFAMOUS: Second Son (2014) for the first time in 2026
This has easily been one of my biggest surprises of the year. I didn’t expect much from this game at all. I went in thinking, “I’m not expecting anything special, I just feel like playing some old game.” And man, was I surprised when I realized how much I was actually enjoying it.Funny enough, I never really got into the Spider-Man games. Maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood for them, but from what I understand, the gameplay is somewhat similar. Still, this game hooked me literally within the first few **** **** a game this old, I have to give it a lot of respect. The graphics still look pretty damn good, and like a good wine, they’ve aged surprisingly well. It still looks relevant even today. After all, this is the same studio that later made Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yotei, so they clearly know how to create a strong artistic **** PS5, the game runs at 60 FPS with a high resolution, and there’s no blurry mess. The autumn atmosphere and especially the rain effects are just 10/10.I also really liked how the story is presented. In Spider-Man, everything felt a little too cheesy for me. The story here is also pretty straightforward, but somehow it just works. It’s easy to get into, and I really liked that the game gives you choices during cutscenes and lets you decide what kind of hero you want to **** gameplay is simple without being boring, but still feels energetic. You have different “powers,” each with its own abilities and advantages. You can choose what you like and just have fun with ****, the activities on the map do get repetitive, but for some reason I genuinely enjoyed doing them. I cleared the entire map. Even something as potentially boring as graffiti was actually fun for me, because every graffiti piece is unique and the game lets you choose which one you want to **** DualSense/controller integration is also really good. There’s plenty of vibration, the touchpad is used quite often, and you even use the gyroscope when painting graffiti. It’s not just there for the sake of it — the controller features are actually integrated into the gameplay.Honestly, I really don’t have anything bad to say about the game. I had a great time with it.I played it right after finishing RE9, so my eyes were basically still spoiled by all the “next-gen” graphics. But that didn’t stop me from having a great time with a 12-year-old ****, they really knew how to make games back then. I’m giving it a solid 8/10, especially considering the time when it was released. If I had played it on release day, my jaw probably would have hit the floor. I’ll probably replay it at some point, but this time as the anti-hero

As Dusk Falls8
Sep 17, 2026
**As Dusk Falls** — an interactive movie/comic-style game.I only play interactive movie games with my girlfriend. I came across this game in someone’s review and thought, why not, let’s give it a try. Even though it’s not the typical kind of interactive movie where you actually walk around locations, we ended up really enjoying **** played it through the PS Plus subscription, but honestly, if I had bought it for $15 on sale, I would still say it was worth every penny. Seven hours of really good entertainment. I honestly can’t think of many negatives — if anything, I just wish it was a couple of hours longer The art style is really cool, the Russian voice acting is surprisingly good, and the story is genuinely interesting. Following the characters’ lives and slowly figuring out who’s an enemy and who’s a friend kept us hooked. The dialogue, choices and QTE moments all work well and, most importantly, actually feel like they belong there.I didn’t expect much from this game, but it turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. I think it’s especially great for couples who, like me and my girlfriend, enjoy having some tasty snacks, sitting together, playing an interactive movie, arguing over decisions, discussing the story and trying to figure out what the best choice is. It’s actually a really fun way to spend an evening together.I’ve heard that Xbox helped fund the development of the game, so thanks to them for that. Unfortunately, I feel like not many publishers would be willing to invest in games like this nowadays **My rating: 8/10 for what it is and for its genre.**If you know any other games like this — something a little unusual, not too mainstream, maybe even some indie gems — feel free to recommend them. Thanks! :)

Marvel's Wolverine1
Sep 17, 2026
I’m not really a superhero fan at all. I haven’t played any of the Spider-Man games, and generally that kind of stuff just isn’t my thing. The only reason I decided to give Wolverine a chance is because I’ve always found the character himself interesting, and I wanted to play it and make my own **** honestly, I was pretty **** game definitely has its flaws. Of course it does. At this point, I don’t think you can release a big game without bugs, glitches and some unfinished-looking things. You can see weird stuff here and there — like floating weapons on characters, some visual glitches, little technical issues and so on. But the thing is, none of this really bothers me while playing. A lot of the problems people complain about online are actually pretty easy to ignore once you’re in the game. What I really like is the presentation, the action and especially the combat. The story is also good, and it gets much more interesting as you progress. The game really starts to pick up speed after the beginning, and at some point you just find yourself completely immersed in it.Most importantly, I actually enjoy playing it. It’s one of those games where you can sit down after a long day, play for a few hours and just relax. I’m not sitting there looking for bugs or checking every little graphical detail. I’m just having fun. What I honestly don’t understand, though, are the people who haven’t even played the game but are everywhere online shouting that it’s terrible. Like… what is the motivation here? What’s the point? What exactly are you trying to prove by constantly talking about how bad a game is when you haven’t even played it? I genuinely don’t understand it. What is the purpose of this? What is the meaning of life? If you don’t like the game after playing it, fair enough. Everyone has their own taste. But judging the entire game from videos, screenshots, other people’s opinions or some random bug you saw online is just weird to me. I’d rather play it myself and decide what I **** no, I don’t think it’s a perfect game. It clearly isn’t. But I also don’t think its flaws deserve to overshadow everything it does **** me, it’s a solid 8/10. And considering that I’m not even a superhero game fan, that honestly says a lot.
