I remember buying this for christmas in 1998. It was no disappointment. It was hardware hungry and I had to play in software mode because my gpu back than couln't keep up. But it was a great idea, way in front of other games. There was a physics engine. Okay, there was no friction on surfaces, so boxes would slip from each other. But it had great potential. It was released at least a year to early, okay. As a game I had fun with it. I chose to play as a survivor, not as a game critic. I never noticed how harmless T rexes are since I avoided approaching them. I also didn't realised at the time ther were way to many raptors for such a small island. But most of the known JP-dinosaurs were there. It was a fun ride, from my perspective. And I had a lot fun modding it later, with new maps and dinosaurs.
