I thought the concept was interesting and the dark humor caught my attention, but the gameplay didn’t quite keep me hooked. Planning stealthy takedowns was sometimes satisfying, but the levels started to feel repetitive after a while. It’s a decent game with some fun moments, but it didn’t fully click for me.

Honestly, this one was a letdown. It had the potential to be something eerie and memorable, but it felt shallow and slow. The detective gameplay is basic, the scares are mild, and it never really leans into the madness you'd expect from Lovecraft. The story tries to be mysterious, but it ends up feeling predictable and underwhelming. Not terrible, just very forgettable, especially compared to better cosmic horror experiences out there. If you're craving Lovecraft, Dark Corners of the Earth or even indie titles like The Last Door do a much better job.

Scorn was an interesting experience. I really liked the atmosphere and its strange world. The puzzles were cool and fit well with the environment. At first, the lack of an interface was confusing, but over time it started to feel natural and added to the immersion. What didn’t work so well for me was the combat, it felt awkward and kind of out of place compared to the rest of the game. Overall, I liked the mood and design more than the actual gameplay.

Playing Spyro Reignited Trilogy felt like stepping into a beautifully polished memory: everything I loved about the original games was still there, just reimagined with so much care and charm. The vibrant worlds, the whimsical characters, and that familiar sense of adventure all came rushing back, but this time with stunning visuals and smooth controls that made everything feel fresh again. What really stood out to me was how faithfully the remaster captured the heart of the originals, It didn’t try to reinvent the wheel, it just made it shinier, more expressive, and more immersive. I found myself grinning at the animations, humming along with the music (which sounds incredible, by the way), and getting completely lost in the colorful landscapes. Each level felt like a tiny world of its own, full of secrets to discover and challenges that struck a perfect balance between relaxing and engaging. And Spyro himself? Still that mischievous little dragon with a big heart, now even more full of personality.Overall, it was a genuinely joyful experience-like revisiting an old friend, only to realize they've grown with you.

As someone who's deeply passionate about the original Final Fantasy VII on PSX, I went into the Remake with cautious excitement. To its credit, it does get a few things right: the music is beautifully reimagined, the combat system is surprisingly fun, and some character moments are genuinely well done. But honestly, it’s hard not to feel **** charm and soul of the original are often buried under pointless filler, like silly sub-quests that add nothing to the story, and awkward, out-of-place sexual jokes that feel tone-deaf. Worst of all, the "Whispers" (those flying rags) feel like a clumsy plot device that rewrites and overcomplicates every iconic moment. Instead of honoring the original, it feels like it’s constantly trying to overwrite ****’s not a bad game on its own, but as a reimagining of something so beloved… it misses the mark more often than it hits.

Death Stranding

Apr 17, 2025
Death Stranding, a.k.a. "The Great Walking Simulator"... I went into Death Stranding expecting something different, and boy... it definitely delivered on that. But not in the way I’d hoped. Hideo Kojima clearly had a vision, but for me, that vision got lost somewhere between endless hiking, confusing plot dumps, and… carrying boxes. What Didn't Work for me: • Gameplay Loop: Deliver Packages, Trip Over Rocks, Repeat The core gameplay felt like a never-ending fetch quest. Sure, the terrain is pretty, but when 90% of the game consists of balancing boxes on your back while hiking across mountains, rivers, and rainstorms... it just becomes tedious. I felt more like a glorified postman with a Fitbit than a hero on a mission to save the world. • Story: Deep or Just Overly Complicated?Kojima's storytelling has always been weird, but Death Stranding goes full galaxy brain. Ghost babies, black goo, timefall rain, BBs, BTs, MULEs… it’s like reading a sci-fi dictionary. I respect ambitious storytelling, but this one often felt like it was being mysterious just for the sake of being mysterious. • Pacing? What Pacing? The game drags hard. Long cutscenes, slow walks, endless prep before missions, and painfully repetitive tasks made me feel like I was wasting hours for little reward. It got to the point where I had more fun watching a YouTube recap than playing the actual game. Verdict: I get that Death Stranding is supposed to be about connection and loneliness, and maybe it hits home for some. But for me, it felt disconnected from what makes a game fun. Beautiful visuals, great music, and a cool concept couldn’t save it from being, well… a boring delivery simulator with a confusing plot. Bold, artsy, and incredibly unique... but ultimately, it just wasn’t fun. And if I’m not having fun in a game, what’s the point?

The Callisto Protocol

Apr 17, 2025
As a huge fan of atmospheric horror games (especially Dead Space) I was really hyped for The Callisto Protocol. It had all the right ingredients: a gritty sci-fi setting, grotesque monsters, and a strong survival horror vibe. And while it absolutely nails the atmosphere and visuals, the gameplay experience ended up being more of a mixed bag for me. What I Loved: • Visuals & Sound Design: Honestly, this game looks incredible. The lighting, the shadows, the claustrophobic prison corridors… it’s all done with cinematic precision. Every flickering light and every distant growl keeps you on edge. • Immersion: The sound design is brilliant. You hear things crawling in vents or whispering through walls, and it genuinely keeps your nerves shot in the best way. What Didn’t Work: • Combat: The melee-heavy combat feels unique at first, but it gets repetitive fast. The dodge mechanic is a bit clunky, and when you’re swarmed, it starts feeling more frustrating than scary. • Pacing & Checkpoints: Some areas drag, and dying (which happens a lot) can be annoying due to long death animations and not-so-great checkpoints. So, this game wants to be the spiritual successor to Dead Space, and in some ways, it is. It’s stunning, eerie, and packed with intense moments. But gameplay-wise, it struggles to stay engaging over time. If you’re here for the atmosphere, you’ll probably enjoy it. If you're looking for tight, varied combat and polished performance, it might leave you wanting more.

I had an awesome time playing Okunoka on PS4, and honestly, I couldn’t give it anything less than a 10/10. What really hooked me was the level design, it’s super creative, challenging in all the right ways, and just really fun to play through. Every level felt like it had its own personality, and the way they push your reflexes without feeling unfair was just spot on. The platforming is tight, fast-paced, and super satisfying once you get into the flow. If you’re into games that test your skills but still feel rewarding, this one’s totally worth it.
