We. The Revolution6
Mar 24, 2019
I'm sure that the indie game website was paid to write that review. There's no way anyone would give this game 9/10. It's clearly a manipulation. This game is Text + UI, 100% of it. And the UI is sweet and clear, but the text is... questionable. With all the animations and cutscenes one may wonder why they didn't hire a writer? Or why they hired such a bad one. You can find better (I'm talking about execution) games in early access than this. And I don't even see how this game could be better. For now, it's 6/10 at its best. If you are really into French stuff and revolution... go ahead, you have 2 hrs to refund, right? I didn't. I played it to the end. I feel like I lost my time. Gameplay is tedious and I wouldn't mind if they delete it. The story is just simple, don't question it, don't think about it, it's here for your entertainment. The audio is just bad for 8-10 hrs. Maybe one can like it but I don't believe that you can enjoy it for such a long time over and over again. The developer delivered us a mediocre indie horror game in the past but I really wanted to believe that We the revolution will be a good game. It isn't. I like how some people changed their positive reviews to negative ones after a few days. The game feels like an early access title where only first act is playable, and the second one will be released in the next update. But steam page says it's not early access, so... 6/10. I got really mixed feelings about this title and the devs. There's something unhonest (or I'm just emotionally hurt because of my RIP hype) about this game. It gets significantly worse after 2 hrs (when you can't refund), the animations and promotion clips are just 10/10 when they can't hire a decent native writer? It would be awesome to get french dubbing, but eng is good enough here. And the dev delivered us a horror game 2 yrs ago in full 3D. I don't get it how it works, but I understand they wanted to do something more meaningful when we don't need more mediocre horror games. I didn't write a review on steam because there is no mixed option (neutral review) and I guess you should be really careful if you want to play it.

If every other game in early access was done so well then we wouldn't need early access. I have been sitting in quarters for about 5 minutes just looking at the screen. It's a 2D game and the quarters are just for you to manage your explorers, but I was sitting there, watching what's going on in the background. The little details, like damsel going to visit the other house, and running away before another damsel returns, or some kind of a lord trying to solve the case of the enigmatic bag which felt from the balloon. And I'm not talking about the game, it's just the details in the background. And every explorer has some personal info like "thinks that communism is the only way for humankind to survive" or something like that. It's so well made, I'm in love with it.

Zquirrels Jump10
Nov 30, 2018
The Zquirrels Jump is an arcade game with a super hard difficulty that can’t be changed. The player is supposed to „speedrun” every level in less than 15 seconds. Whole game contains 40 levels divided into 5 groups of 8, every group has its own art style and soundtrack. For completing a level player gets one to three stars, and if it's 3 stars then there's a reward in a form of a chest with customizable parachutes and skins. This game doesn't have a story to tell, but the player gets comics from time to time for completing new levels. It's a comedy relief and also the opportunity to learn more about goofy zquirrels. The main story arch is that zquirrels had overloaded a tree with peanuts and it has exploded. The limited time is the time after the explosion but before the peanuts hit the ground. In Zquirrels Jumo you can also find a level editor, which is always nice and a leaderboard. The leaderboard has 10 places for best players with the best time for completing 40 levels. It also shows the player's current position and time if he has completed all the 40 levels. The input in this game is insane, however, you can turn something called "Babymode" to change it to an easier one, but it still won't let the player get his own key binding. It may be a problem for casual players and it was for me for a while. I understand that this game requires this solution to make the player to learn rather than just let you play for yourself. Keeping in mind that there are only 10 visible places on the leaderboard the controls may be considered as a part of an experience. You will find yourself playing this game with both hands on the keyboard rather than mouse and keyboard and you probably will need some time for this transition. Gameplay is simple but interesting. The goal is to obtain 3 peanuts in less than 15 seconds. However, there are death traps everywhere and it's just impossible to complete level on the first try. It's not because of bad time reaction to a new obstacle, the player has to do some recon and learn the level. In time the game will introduce you to new mechanics, it's happening every few levels. Most of the new "skills" are one use only for a level, like being fireproof for 1 second or traveling back in time, but there are also unlimited powers as a parachute and dashing. What I find very unusual is the fact that you can't complete a certain level on 3 stars without skill introduced in a next one. For a while just felt like I'm just not good enough but in one level game tells you that all the skills are available from the beginning and you could use them. It's a surprising twist in a game like this. The graphics are astonishing. It's not a Cuphead but I didn't see such a beautiful game for this price in... I think I have never seen such a beautiful game for $2.99. All the Zquirrels are animated, a lot of traps and all the enemies are animated, there are 5 different biomes and event the audio changes. Sound effects are good and the colors are vibrant. Overall the price to quality ratio is beyond my scale. It's 10/10 and you can't argue that the experience isn’t unique. If this game tries to show me the speedrunner's life, which it does, then I have to say I really feel like a speedrunner now. It might be frustrating but it's rewarding as hell. You invest your time in every level, you need your full attention and space in your brain to come up with a solution to a problem. You have limited abilities and you have to use them wisely or else you will have to start over and over again. But when you complete a level it's a big relief and joy because you made it by yourself in less than 15 seconds. I truly recommend it to you because it's awesome quality for this price and it really shows the passion and love to the game industry.

The Witness8
Nov 3, 2018
The Witness is an excellent trainer of a wit and logical thinking. If you like puzzle games and are up for a challenge, The Witness is your game. It offers over thirty hours of highly cerebral gameplay that will delight every fan of "intelligent" games, yet is open enough to let more casual players explore its landscapes.

I feel extremely offended by this game. I really don't know what devs of this game have in their heads, but oh boy... Imagine if your brother or sister was shot in a school shooting and you play it. This game is trying to cash out people's nightmares. It's not funny, and don't you dare to tell me "relax, it's just a game". No, it's not, it's a medium in the XXI century, you make people accept school shootings as a normal thing. IT IS NOT NORMAL. Somebody (like a society) should sue the devs. And my dear critics, have you lost your mind?! Don't you dare to encourage people to play this abomination. *I didn't lose a sibling in a school shooting but my friend did, and it's a real trauma. It's like a few years of pills and therapy 2hrs a week.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 45
Oct 19, 2018
I bought it for Battle Royal. It has Battle Royal. Period. It's good battle royal, but don't expect more. No single player, awful zombie mode and pointless multi. I would give it 9/10 if it would be just a battle royal. If you want to treat it like a Call of Duty, this game from last decade, it's not that. It's the worst CoD ever. But it's good Battle Royal. I will give it 5/10, because it's a misunderstanding. I will even caps it. MISUNDERSTANDING If you bought it for Battle Royal, then you will have a good time. Else, sorry to deliver you bad news, but you are going to have a bad time.

Solid 7. Graphics + Gameplay + Music + Story Irrelevant. But nothing new. Good product, but I don't know why people give it 9 or 10. It's not a unique game. You can get it if you are very bored, but there are better ones on the indie market right now.

I guess you could call it a masterpiece. It's an awesome little game. It's like you are in flat-earthers mind and fights over other rings for resources. Great RTS when everybody thought that this genre is dead. Awesome gameplay, a lot of customization. SI isn't the brightest but you could tell that about any SI int he world, or maybe I don't know something (I'm looking at you Tom Cruise!). But yeah, this game is awesome. Just buy it, play it, have a good time. It's easy to learn, hard to master. Visuals are good, gameplay is better than expected, and the experience is awesome.

Helping Hand8

If this game had been released in 2011 it would be a flash game. But in 2018? It's a steam game. In 2014 it would be a FB game. But you know what? It's actually a good game... Or a visual novel with always 5 options in dialogue. Yes, you can control only the hand. And this game could be... unintuitive. But it's a good little game to smile and forget about it. It's this kind of visual novel that is for everybody. Like Monster High Prom or Dream Daddy Dating Simulator etc. It's for everyone for 1 hr because you don't need more time to play it. One evening and you will still have time to fill your tax forms. Or to do your homework. I actually liked it.
