Tried the PC Demo out and found it to be a very frustrating experience. No in terms of game play difficulty but rather the controls. The radials would come and go, options were difficult to either find or make reappear. Even more frustrating were the Action ALL commands which would either work for everyone, just some of the group or in some cases, no one at all. Line of Defense Tactics tries to mask its simplistic concept behind various options that really amount to anything different or innovating. You have to earn points to obtain a new gun... well why can't I just pick one up off a dead body? Why must I travel to those annoying little squares by the way? I honestly could see how on a mobile device that this game might be considered decent but when you blow it up to higher resolutions - it really shows its intended medium. It comes across as a low end Facebook game when blown up to larger formats. The textures and coloring all become very bland and nondescript. The biggest matter of contention though is the fact that the PC version costs $25 while the mobile version is merely $5. For $5, the game and its flaws are almost excusable. To expect customers to pay $25 for it though is clearly a fool's errand. There are MUCH MUCH better games on the market for that amount and believe me - gamers know it. In the end, my experience with the demo was one that confirmed the majority of the other reviews here and all around the internet. This game isn't worth its cost and is very much in the emperor's new clothes vein. The developer will tout how advanced and challenging LODT is but everyone else in the room sees it as something quite different. I can only imagine what that must mean for their upcoming so called MMO.
