People who give this game a 0-1 is just stupid. "Gets worse every year" is not an excuse. This game is probably one of the best COD games of all time. You may see that mine is a 7, however, for which is because there is a few things to talk about how it's not amazing. - Microtransactions This is really what brings multiplayer down a bit. If they didn't add Ranged Weapons and sticked to Melee Weapons in supply drops, that would've been fine. Not to mention Zombies has microtransactions (with Liquid Divinium). The two modes have pay-to-win elements. In Multiplayer, it's the ranged weapons (melee weapons are just a reskin of the Combat Knife). In Zombies, it's gobblegum like Perk-a-holic, shopping free, and Power Vacuum. -Campaign If you are not a story person (kind of like me), this mode is fine. For the people who are, this game is a nightmare. The important plot points are in that super-duper fast scrolling text. This mode would be fine if the story wasn't bad. The rest of the game is pretty good.

For me, this is a conflicting game. In multiplayer, there isn't enough content to sustain consistent play. Literally all I play is Nuketown and maybe Raid (or other remasters when this review becomes outdated). While it feels a lot like Modern Warfare, this feels better to me. Modern Warfare feels more realistic, but Cold War is a bit more arcady. People who say the game feels weird or different probably hasn't played older games. I'm not going to go into SBMM or anything because we keep beating the necessary dead horse. I think it would be amazing without the glitches/etc. Campaign I'm not talking about as I haven't played it. Zombies is also conflicting. I love the way it feels, but it feels a bit too different from BO3 or even BO4. In those games, it felt like a stripped down survival mode, where you need to know the game. This zombies feels so different, more like MW3 survival (that's still really good btw). Honestly, kinda feels like Zombies for newer players, which isn't bad, but when you've played other games, this one feels so different from other zombies games. Weapon tiers are SO stupid, the game feels really advanced with tons and tons of other stuff to setup/etc. TL;DR: Feels too different, you may not enjoy it if you are a previous player.

I'm going to talk about zombies here. For fans of Spaceland, Rave in the Redwoods, is great. It's fun, unique, cool (albeit some taken) wonder weapons, but, Spaceland just did it better than Redwoods. While the Easter Egg is cool, I still got no idea how it works. The actor is cool, but Hasselhoff for life. Also, the fact that slasher IS THERE IN RAVE MODE AFTER ROUND 10 is annoying. While it is cool, it's not my favorite. (btw: get it if you want directors cut)

The only reason this DLC should be bought is for director's cut. If you have a friend who has the DLC and knows the Easter Egg (and maybe talismans and Willard and stuff, look it up), put your account on their PS4 (if you only want them doing it when you're around, put a PIN on your profile, again, look it up), and let them do it. If you buy the DLC yourself, you can have someone do it for you buy joining the session and grabbing the soul key (go to some IW communities on PS4). I mean, honestly, for multiplayer, this DLC is kinda pointless. Not AMAZING maps, but, if you have the Season Pass (and you're an MP fan), it's cool i guess. Maybe just get it when it is on sale. That's 'bout it. (BTW: the only reason this rating is 5 and not 0 is director's cut. best thing in zombies of all time)

I played this game so much. Campaign and multiplayer, excellent. Zombies is the star of the show. One of the best COD Zombies ever (except DLC 2, a.k.a Shaolin Shuffle)

This game is a great game. I really like the Blackout and Zombies. However, the Multiplayer is the worst. Infinite Warfare is way better. Zombies could use more maps, because my friend bought all the DLC and only got like 4 maps. Though, if you're going to play a Battle Royale game, BO4 is the way to go.
