This game was a blast to play. Really wish I could play it again... or maybe a newer version of it on a modern console.

This game is to WWE what Blitz is/was to NFL. It's an arcade wrestling game that functions well enough. In fact it functions ALMOST better than ANY WWE 2K game to date. The ONLY major flaw is the reward system. Instead of getting anything for unlocking WWE Stars you get.... the Star you unlocked. No added costumes to your create a wrestler. No added signatures or finishers for your create a wrestler. Nothing but that star. This leaves no incentive to ever unlock anyone beyond the stars you will want to play as, and then put the game down. The obvious answer was to make it so these things unlock more rewards and you would have had more people playing and buying not just the stars they wanted, but all of them. Big OOF.

People just hate the game because they got their expectations all lined up to astronomical and unreachable levels. Then when those expectations are obviously not met, it's somehow the developer or the game's fault. This game hit every note it needed to, to be exactly what I expected it to be... and guess what? I love it. I also don't sit here trying to play games with a Frame-per-second or optimization plug stuck in my body somewhere the sun doesn't shine. I'm also not a thirsty virgin wanting to stare at anime females. I'm a married nerd who loves anime & manga, and plays games with a smile on my face when they're made with love and fun. Jump Force is absolutely that. The cut scenes play out like a first class Manga. The animations aren't lacking in the slightest, The cut scenes are supposed to be non animated manga panels. They are. The fights everyone wanted in cut scene form? You play those. Those are the story marks that you get to hands on control. If you didn't expect or understand this I could see why you might hate the game. But it's still not the game's fault. It's yours. Fix yourself. I love this game. You should too. I hope the next one they do less competitive style and more co-operative like Xenoverse.

Criminally underrated Metroidvania. The only two flaws in this game are a lack of a refined save system, and an enforced gender role for the protagonist. That second complaint is rather insignificant. There are difficulty options for all skill levels. The controls are responsive. The artwork and audio are exceptional. The story is... interesting at best, and practical at worst. Ultimately the best selling points are the up to 4 player local co-op, and the "alignment" choices for your abilities to upgrade into. Massively unique aspect, criminally overlooked for... I honestly don't know why... I guess because people would rather play Ori, or Hollow Knight which are drastically inferior in almost every way.
