FOX n FORESTS8
May 25, 2018
Completed Fox N Forests (100%) last evening on the Switch! The platforming aspect is good, but not awesome. Most of the bosses are easy. There are 2 levels where you are flying a plane which was pretty neat. You have the ability to change between seasons which is a great addition. I had a good time exploring the levels to find all the hidden areas. I did not like having to do some levels again, but I did not hate it either. The graphics are amazing and the controls are solid, but it would have been nice to be able to change between seasons quicker (slight lag) and at any moment. The music is good as well and goes with the theme. There are different abilities you can use which I appreciate. This game deserves an 8 out of 10 in my book, but I feel the price is a little high for the lenght of the game.

Bleed 27
May 16, 2018
Completed Bleed 2 on the Switch last evening. There are a lot of bosses which are awesome (some remakes from Bleed 1) and not a lot of platforming sections which I don't personally enjoy that much. The music is good and it is definitely an intense / fast pace game. Most of the enemies are easily killable from a distance. I found Bleed 2 a little bit easier than the first entry, but probably because I was now used to the controls which you can change by the way. It deserves a 7.5 in my opinion due to the poor platforming sections (the floating one was pretty cool tho) and the lenght of the game as I completed it in about 90 minutes. I recommend it because it is very fun and quite unique!

Streets of Red: Devil's Dare Deluxe7
May 15, 2018
Just finished this title last night on the Switch! I personally really like it even if it was not that long (3-4 hours maybe). The enemies are engaging and some of them are disgusting which I appreciate! The theme is very dark in general and a little bit more colour would have helped me find my character quicker when the screen was full of enemies. There is some humour to the game which I appreciate and the bosses are nice, but most of them are easy. I played with Alex and I beat the game on my third time (normal difficulty). I was pleased to see 2 more levels and a final boss (Ivan which is actually quite hard|) after the 10 nights. Great game to bring on the go and it deserves an 7.5 in my book. The game is not that long, but I think it is worth the price.

Elliot Quest7
May 9, 2018
Completed this game this past weekend! I love the exploration aspect of the game, the platforming elements, the bosses, the hidden areas, the different items, the level up system, etc. It took me a good 15 hours to complete and I had to follow a walkthrough after a while as the map is a mess and you have no idea where you are supposed to go next most of the time. I liked most of the game, but I hated the backtracking and the non-linear story. I feel the graphics are good, but not great. There is some sort of transportation system on the switch version, but it is not really good. It deserves a 7.5 out of 10 in my book (easily an 8 with a few touch ups).

Devious Dungeon6
Apr 11, 2018
I bought this title as I personally don't like ''complicated'' dungeon crawlers or rogue-like where you spend half of your time checking your stats, switching gears, etc. I like simple, but efficient game which this one is. It gets repetitive after a while and there are 2 controls to work with (jump and swing weapon), but I still enjoyed the experience. The levels are a little too small for my taste. 6 out of 10 in my book.

Slime-san8
Apr 11, 2018
I was not sure about this game, but I downloaded the game and thought it was pretty fun! I went ahead and bought the game (30% off) and I just completed it last week. There are so many different mechanics and so many levels. The levels are not really long, but quite challenging. It gets frustrating at times, but I never felt it was unfair. You cannot take your time when you enter a level therefore you have to ''master'' the controls and memorize the patterns. The bosses were kind of cool for this type of game. I personally don't mind the graphics, but don't really like them either. I mostly care about the gameplay and mechanics ****, not necessarily the graphics or the story or the music. I now started the Blackbird's Kraken DLC which seems very good so far. This game is worth the asking price on the Switch. I wanted to give it a score of 7.5 out of 10, but I feel it deserves an 8 more than a 7.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams8
Mar 26, 2018
I love platformers and I ‘‘fell’’ on this game while searching for ‘‘best wii u platformer’’ on the Internet. I was shocked by this game in the sense that I was not expecting much or a challenge, but I was wrong. It is a well done game all around, but it is not perfect obviously. There are several nice mechanics, the music is very good and the level design is good in general. The enemies were not that great, but the bosses were quite good! The levels are a little long, but there are several checkpoints available. I like when there are 2 paths you can choose from in a level, but when it is well done like this game (not like Freedom Planet or Sonic Mania). You can switch between 2 characters for different abilities. Anybody who likes platformer games should definitely try this one! 8 out of 10 in my book. PS I cannot believe I had never heard about that game before 3 months ago.

Little Triangle8
Mar 16, 2018
I completed Little Triangle on the Switch last night and I gotta say this is my type of jam. There are a lot of different mechanics, enemies and hidden areas. The controls are simple, but solid. The graphics and the backgrounds are well designed. I played in casual mode (hard mode available) and it got quite hard at times, but It never felt unfair. The bosses are interesting, but mostly easy in general. I was able to collect everything, but it did not unlock any new content unfortunately which I did not appreciate personally. The game is not that long if you are not looking to collect everything. I really had fun playing this game and it was one of the best games of that type in a while for me. It is not an ''over the top / very innovative game', but it was very well put together and I hope there will be a sequel! The game worth its price and it deserves an 8.5 out of 10 in my book.

A Hole New World6
Mar 6, 2018
I completed A Hole New World on the Switch in the past 2 days in about 4 hours (82 gems collected out of 150). The ''upside down'' mechanic is nice and you sometimes have no choice but to pass there, but not always which I like. The enemies' difficulty is average in general, but two of the boss fights were very hard (almost quit on the final one / took me like 45 minutes). The game is very short considering I spent about an hour just for 2 different bosses. The rest of the game is ok, but nothing innovative. I like the ''different colors'' needed to beat the final boss. The controls are tight. I think it is a strong effort, but not worth the asking price. I would recommend to wait for a sale. I had some fun and it deserves a 6.5 out of 10 in my book.

Bleed6
Mar 2, 2018
I was finally able to try this Bleed game on the Switch late last night. I was not sure if I would like that title at first as it is fast paced and the controls can be tricky, but once I got a hang of them it was pretty awsome to slow time and kill enemies with the PowerA Zelda Theme Pro Controller. I am usually not a type of gamer who likes plenty of bosses, but those ones were well designed and engaging. Unfortunately the game is short as I finished it in about 90 minutes, but it is quite fun and challenging. Please note I played on normal difficulty. I am giving it 6 out of 10 mostly because the game is very short and the platforming levels were ok, but not great and not long enough. I would recommend to pick it if it comes on sale as the game is quite fun and the controls are tight.

Shu7
Mar 2, 2018
Completed Shu on the Switch yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by this title especially for the price! The graphics and background are beautiful, but the music is ok (not very good). The controls are tight and the levels are well designed, but there are only 21 levels and I completed the game while collecting everything in about 6 hours. The game's difficulty is good, but some passages are quite hard and it is not easy to collect everything (unfortunately it does not provide more content which I don't like). The game does remind me of Rayman Origins/Legends, but definitely less polished. It is decent platformer with different abilities and I would recommend it! 7.5 out of 10 in my book.

Mom Hid My Game!3
Feb 26, 2018
Just completed this....game ...I guess. I like to buy simple games to play during my lunch hour at work, but this is way too simple.... I honestly regret my puchase even if it was only a few dollars. 95% of the game is way too eazy and you basically do not have to think about anything. Only 3-4 days out of the 50 days were kind of ''challenging'' lol I personally do not recommend this title to anybody over 12 years old.

Tower Of Babel5
Feb 26, 2018
I’ve completed Tower of Babel on the Switch (handheld mode) last week. I personally don’t necessarily like auto-runner, but I don’t mind games like that for lunch breaks at work or when I am waiting somewhere. I did encounter a few framerate drops while on handheld mode, but nothing major. The game is fairly short and easy in general, but it gets challenging towards the end. I honestly enjoyed the game and I like the fact the towers are randomly generated as you cannot memorize the levels which I am usually good at. You get a second chance if you get hit, but you fall into another state and it takes a certain time to get used to that mechanic. You can chose to go slower or faster. No comment on music as it was turned off. This game deserves an 5.5 out of 10 in my book and I would recommend picking it up when there is a sale.

Poi7
Feb 22, 2018
Just completed Poi: Explorer Edition last night and I was not disappointed. You can complete the game in a fairly short period of time, but it took me about 12 hours to 100% it (101 medallions). The controls and the angles of the camera are not top notch like a Mario title, but it is good enough to enjoy the game! The platformer / puzzles aspects are fairly simple and easy in general. I would have love new gameplay mechanics / something innovative. The graphics and the music are good, but nothing crazy/innovative. I like the fact there are 100 medallions to collect, but hate that it does not give you anything besides an extra medallion. The loading time was a little slow at times, but nothing major. The price is not that high for a physical version and Poi deserves an 7.5 out of 10 in my book.

VESTA6
Feb 21, 2018
I completed this game this past weekend on the Switch in about 6 hours (found all discs). It is a decent title including 32 levels and 4 bosses which were pretty interesting. You need to control a girl and a robot, but I found the speed of the characters a little slow. The puzzles were easy at first and eventually became a little bit harder and more interesting, but repetitive at the same time. I felt there was not a lot of innovative elements after the first half of the game. I also don't like when collecting everything does not unlock bonus contents. The environment reminded me of Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and the E. Gadd's Garage board theme from Mario Party 6. It is an ok title for the price, but I would recommend buying it when it is on sale. It deserves a 6.5 out of 10 IMO.

Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack8
Feb 12, 2018
Bought the physical version for the Switch at Christmas and just completed Gunvolt 1 (january 9th 18) which was pretty good!! I loved the story (too much dialogues for me tho), the gameplay was great, the bosses were engaging, the level designs were simple in general (but efficient). The difficulty of the game was fairly easy and I was able to reach the ''Firmament - Part I'' at level 25-30 (cannot remember) with GV, but I had to return to the previous levels and grind to level 40 to get one more skill to be able to beat the Nova boss (still hard tho) which I hated. I returned and beat the final boss again to get the ''true ending'', but I did not beat the ''true final boss'' yet as he seems ridiculously hard. Any gamer who likes the Mega Man series or platformer games should definitely give this series a try. Just finished GV2 (February 12th 2018) with Copen. I feel this one was more enjoyable to play, but easier and shorter. I think I was done in 3-4 hours **** not have to ''grind'' like the first game. The story in this one was a little bit confusing. PS I played both games with the LOZ PowerA Controller and it was great!

Tiny Barbarian DX7
Feb 1, 2018
First thing first. This is a very challenging game which I am not necessarily used to. I almost quit a good 5-6 times (3 times during the ''Final Battle'' boss/3 bosses in one after all). I got about 40% of the crystals (did not really explore the worlds). It is a simple (no new abilities, simple story, etc.), but well crafted game. It took me about 12 hours to complete it, but I probably died 400 times lol The soundtrack is actually pretty good and the bosses were average. I would recommend Tiny Barbarian DX to any gamer who likes platformer and who is looking for a challenge. My score would be 7.5 out of 10, but I could only chose between 7 and 8.

Nightmare Boy8
Jan 31, 2018
Completed this game this past weekend (about 8 hours / 93% / missed 2 aster fragments / normal difficulty). This is a good platformer with engaging enemies and bosses which are hard in general. The atmosphere, music and graphics are great for the theme (nightmare). The story is kind of crazy, but very cool at the same time. You can save 9 kids while running through the game, but you do not need to find them all. There are different spells you can use throughout the game which are useless for the most part, but some of them are interesting! The controls are tight, but feel a little bit ''floaty''. The only thing I hate is the fact there is no transportation/teleportation/warping system like a lot of other games. Nightmare Boy deserves a 8 out of 10 in my book and I would recommend anybody to pick it up especially for the cheap price ($10 canadian + tax)

Metroid Fusion9
Jan 19, 2018
I've recently completed this game on the Wii U...what a great game!! It is the best Metroid game I have played so far (Super Metroid 1994, Fusion 2002 and Zero Mission 2004). It had everything I like in a game besides the hidden items...simply cannot find them sometimes...I had to look on the internet.

Super Mario Odyssey10
Jan 19, 2018
Wow....finally completed the game last evening! What a masterpiece. This is a game that deserves a 10 out of 10. The size of the different kingdoms is perfect and there was so much effort put in the level design and the graphics which are amazing. The ability to change characters with some enemies is awesome. The bosses were pretty easy in general, but I like the fact that you need to be smart to hit them a few times instead of easily hitting them 20 times. I completed the main story in about 8 hours (about 80% of purple coins and 261 moons). I was not looking everywhere, but I was looking. There is a power moon and/or a mini-game every 2-3 minutes if you look properly. I really like collectibles, but 999 power moons is just too much lol 250 would have been more than enough. I think I will replay it to try to gather 500 moons, but I am not sure yet. The music is good as usual, but nothing incredible. I personally played with the detached joy-con and I really enjoyed the experience! Super Mario Odyssey is the best Mario game ever for me!

Guns, Gore & Cannoli7
Jan 17, 2018
Just completed this game on the Switch. The game itself is good, but not great. The story is great. The gameplay is ok, but it gets very hard at times as your munition is limited. You need to think before moving foward and use the right weapon (or you feet to puch the enemies away) There is not enough bosses and the game is quite short (I beat it in about 3-4 hours). There is no collectible. The level design and graphics are very nice, but nothing innovative. I had a good time with this game and I am giving it a 7 out of 10.

Squareboy vs. Bullies: Arena Edition5
Jan 12, 2018
I bought this game last week for the Switch to be able to waste some time during my lunch breaks at work. I actually enjoyed the game (story mode). There is not a lot of content and it is a simple game which does not include a lot of abilities or mechanics. I liked the story and I was finding myself laughing and saying '' oh really? you gonna get it buddy''. I really liked the feeling of grabbing an opponent and kicking him in the nuts (or whatever area he is kicking them). The enemies have different attacks (punching, hitting with a chain or a baseball bat, throwing a hammer or a baseball). There is one final big boss and the game can be completed in probably 2 hours. It was fairly easy in general, but I still died a few times (mostly due to not paying attention). I don't regret my purchase especially for the price!

Rock 'N Racing Off Road DX1
Jan 5, 2018
The concept is ok. I don't mind games like this one, but I cannot believe how this game's control **** tracks are barely playable because of the poor mechanics. It is one thing the other cars are sometimes running into wrong/all type of direction, but it is another thing not to have tight controls to avoir them. I honestly played for 10 minutes and could not continue. I then did a search to check if it was an IOS game which had been ported to the Switch or something, but no....just a plain awful game lol I thought about getting Mantis Burn Racing instead (looks 10 times better), but I did not want to pay $25. Oh well my bad...

36 Fragments of Midnight2
Jan 5, 2018
Just completed this **** 8 minutes as the game only contains one level where you need to find 36 golden fragments (stars). It took me 3-4 attempts to get use of the mechanics. The double jump was sometimes not working (no idea why). I am giving it a 2 out of 10 as it was only $3 (canadian) and I still somewhat enjoyed myself for about half an hour even if it was ridiculously short and pretty easy.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap7
Jan 3, 2018
I have to admit I had never played the original title and I was quite impressed with this new version!! Wow it must have been one of the coolest/better games back in 1989! Even when I was changing the new style to the retro one for a minute or two I found myself still liking the game. The different characters and abilities were pretty fun, but the mouse-man combat style is frustrating (very short range). The game is somewhat hard in general, but it is not that bad in my opinion. The graphics are awesome and the bosses are good, but frustrating (you need to hit them on the head and it is easy to take damage if you get too close). I find the price a little high therefore I bought it when it was 25% off. I completed the game with almost everything in 7 hours, but I only completed two of ''the unknown'' sections as I did not enjoy them or understand the purpose of them. The game is not that long therefore I would suggest you to wait for a sale if you are not already convinced. The platforming aspect was a little stiff in general, but barely noticeable. This title deserves a 7.5 out of 10 in my book.

Volgarr the Viking6
Jan 2, 2018
I bought this game for the Switch last week. I decided to quit after completing the first level and beating the first boss (about 35 attempts). I usually have the patience to complete a game even if it is very hard, but I felt it was mostly hard because of the slugglish controls (split second delay when you hit a button) which I personally hate and because there is only 1 checkpoint in the middle of every stage. The first level was well designed and was interesting, but that split second delay was destroying me and I could not continue the game even if I wanted to after all this and especially after reading that you need to finish the game in one go.

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King8
Jan 2, 2018
I personally like that type of game (2D/hack & slash with abilities/top-down view) and I was definitely not disappointed. The way the story is told is pretty cool, the gameplay is solid, the music is very good and appropriate to the environment (I thought I was hearing Zelda music at times), the dungeons are well designed, the puzzles are interesting (easy for the most part, but some are challenging), the bosses are nice (easy for the most part as well), etc. There are a lot of side quests, but I felt it there were too many of them considering the number of dungeons. It took me about 11 hours to finish the game with all the items except for 1 scroll, 2 energy pieces and 4 small pieces of heart. I tried Oceanhorn on the Switch and I hated it. I tried Kamiko on the switch and I liked it, but it was not a full game (very short/1 hour). This is the game you want if you are missing games like ALTTP. This game deserves an 8 out of 10 in my book as it is not very long, it is easy in general and it is not necessarily innovative.

Caveman Warriors7
Dec 27, 2017
I completed this game this past weekend on the Switch (bonus levels included / 48 batteries) and I had some sort of love/hate relationship with it! I like the levels design in general (besides 1 level / the triceratops gameplay and boss were pretty fun!), the 4 characters and their abilities, the lenght of the levels and the game (although on the short side), the bosses, a few well hidden area for the batteries, etc. I hate the knock back mechanic (very frustrating especially when there is almost always a pit nearby), the ''forward action'' (can't go back), the time-split second it takes to jump or hit (not a big deal, but not a 100% fluid), the fact that you have to restart all the way to the beginning of the level if you die more than 3 times in a specific section or during the boss fight. The music was ok, but nothing special. The story was cool/interesting, but nothing special. I personally mostly used Liliana, but you need to be ready to switch character depending on the enemies attacks. The game seems fairly easy, but it is quite hard at times especially due to the knock back mechanic and the enemies location. This title deserves a 7.5 out of in my book!

Ittle Dew 28
Dec 18, 2017
Completed the game last night! What a good game! I did not want to put my controller down. It is well done all around in regards to the music, the gameplay mechanics, the map, the puzzles, the hidden areas, the simple story (but interesting and very funny), etc. The level of difficulty is fair in general, but the bosses are quite hard. You can probably beat the game in 5-6 hours, but it took me 17 hours as I found every collectible items (24 shards, 8 pieces of raft, all the weapon upgrades), completed the 3 optional dungeons and completed the bonus one as well (Tomb of Simulacrum). I even entered the hidden Promised Remedy dungeon and beat the final potato boss (very very hard). I did visit the Dream World and did a few things, but did not complete it. I initially did not like the price, but I have to say it was worth it as I had a lot of content for my money. Ittle Dew 1 was good, but very short and not a ‘‘full one’’ in my opinion. Ittle Dew 2+ is a complete game and I really enjoyed it! I recommend this title to anybody who likes top-down adventure game with dungeons like the 2D Zelda games, Kamiko, Oceanhorn (garbage IMO), Binding Of Isaac, etc. It deserves a 8.5 out of 10 in my book. PS I bought the physical edition with the goodies. Props to Nicalis for releasing physical copies with goodies!

Beach Buggy Racing7
Dec 18, 2017
I personally like platformers and racing games. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options for the Switch. I did not like Redout and Fast RMX therefore I tried this game a few months ago. It reminded me of the Crash Bandicoot racing game and a little bit of the Sonic racing game on the Wii. At the end of the day, it is a simple/basic racing game which is actually still fun to play! There is not a lot of different tracks (20 at most) and the soundtrack is poor (maybe 5 songs). I am happy than I bought this game for the Switch and kept playing MK8 on my Wii U instead of double dipping (basically for nothing) on MK8 for the Switch. The Switch still needs a REAL racing game like Need For Speed, Forza, Burnout and Grand Turismo. I personally do not consider gear club unlimited in the same category as those games...

Kid Tripp6
Dec 12, 2017
I bought this Kid Tripp title for the switch this past weekend. I knew it was an ''auto-runner'' which I personally do not like in general, but for the price I though why now try it? I was a little bit surprised as I enjoyed it for the first 3 worlds. The fourth and last world is very hard and unforgiving. It is the type of game that it is a lot of luck at the end of the day in a sense which I do not appreciate. There were several times where I was **** I am sure I pressed the button at the right time... I did It took me like 50 tries to complete the 4-3 level and after seeing the videos for the 2 last levels....I just quit as I do not have the patience for that type of difficulty. I could probably do it, but I prefer to spend my time on other games that I enjoy more. The 8-bits was ok, but a disadvantage at times as the graphics felt ''cramped''. The music is good and does not stop when you die unless you are game over. I personally did not like the controls and I believe it would have been easy for the developer to include the option to change them, but hey I don't know I am not one... It would have also been nice to be able to turn off the ''auto-runner''. It would have been a better game for me anyway. All things considered, it is a good effort and I still enjoyed it especially for the price! Update: I never quit a game because it is too hard and I decided to try again the following day in handheld mode during my lunch break and was able to pass the last 3 levels fairly easily... I don't know why, but it felt easier/better on the handheld mode. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete the game.

The Mummy Demastered9
Dec 6, 2017
I completed the game about 2 weeks after it was released and I personally think it is an awesome/amazing game! I played a lot of games (mostly platformers) in the past year and this is probably my favorite title! It was a ''almost perfect'' game for me in regards to the level of difficulty, gameplay, map (simple, but good and I like linear games), atmosphere, items, soundtrack (90% was very good/creepy style), hidden areas, bosses etc. WayForward makes great games and this is another gem. It does not happen often that I want to complete a game for a second time and it is the case with this game! Just buy it or buy it if it comes on sale if you are not convinced. PS : It was a little ''buggy'' on the Switch (docked) towards the end of the game (last hour) as there were many enemies. It still should not happen...

Dec 6, 2017
I've completed this game 3 weeks ago as I was ''between games''. This is usually not my type of title, but I was pleasantly surprised as it combines real-time hack 'n slash combat and RPG elements. The game is simple in general, but the side quests are interesting (possibly too many of them) and I really enjoyed the experience. There are some good/funny cat puns. The game is short and it can get repetitive at times, but it is worth the price (especially if it comes on sale)! I would give it a 7.5 out of 10.

Finally completed this gem yesterday! I was personally very surprised by the quality if this game. The levels design is fairly simple, but some of them are awesome (reminded me of Rayman Origins at times). The controls felt a little sluggish in general, but nothing major. The enemies/bosses were great and very hard at times. I almost quit during the Gangreyn fight as it took me some time to realise I could switch between 2 characters instead of 3. Any gamer who likes platformers should definitely buy Pankapu especially considering it's cheap price!

Metroid: Samus Returns8
Oct 10, 2017
I completed Samus Returns on a NEW 3DS XL two days ago. What a nice game. I never played the original, but I really liked this one. The save points, the collectibles, the enemies, the levels were all great for the majority part. Although I really liked the game, there are some elements I really did not like; not enough bosses (I felt like I was always fighting one of the 40 metroids that’s it / other bosses too similar), too much backtracking, too much items (common who needs 264 missiles seriously?). It took me 17 hours to complete the game at a 100% as I was lost at times and did not want to look on the internet. It also took me a while before realizing I could not get certain items before the near end of the game. It took me 5-6 times to beat the last boss. This game deserves an 8 out of 10 in my book. Can't wait for MP4 on the Switch!!

Gunman Clive 27
Sep 22, 2017
I completed Gunman Clive 2 with the Gunman character on a ''new'' 3DS XL last week. I was not expecting much from this game (especially for $2.99 tax), but I was pleasantly surprised! There are only 25 levels which are not very elaborated, but they are still interesting. The graphics are simple, but well done. The game is fairly easy in general, but difficult at times especially the bosses. I would give it 7.5 out of 10.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Pirate Queen's Quest8
Sep 15, 2017
I always like the Shantae serie and Half-Genie Hero was one of the best games on the Wii U in 2016. When this DLC came out, I knew I had to buy it. Well I decided to buy the game on the Switch as well and buy the DLC for that console. I cannot say I was really impressed by it, but I cannot say I was disapointed either. I really liked the new abilities, but the levels were mostly the same. Too many backtrackings for my taste. I personally think it was worth it for the price tho. I hope they will make another Shantae game later down the road. I completed it at 100% (all dark magic and all crystal) in about 4 hours.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove9
Sep 6, 2017
Where should I start? What an AWESOME game! I gotta admit this is my type of game (platformers with hidden items, real hand fighting + weapons). I had played the Shovel Knight compaign a few months ago which I really liked (8.5 out of 10). This Treasure Trove game on the Switch especially the Specter Knight compaign is a gem! The levels are well-designed, the hidden items were at the right places, the abitilies were perfect, you can ride a skateboard at certain times, good variety of enemies, the story is interesting, the bosses's difficulty is well-balanced, etc. This game is a 9.5 out of 10 in my book! Very well done. Some people say it is the best game on the **** is also one of the best games for the Wii U period. Can't wait for the next compaign (King of Cards I believe).

Kirby: Triple Deluxe7
Sep 1, 2017
Kirby Triple Deluxe on the 3DS is an interesting game with nice abilities and game mechanics, but is honestly too easy. I did finish the story mode (70% / 136 keychains / all sun stones), but I always felt like I wanted to quit as it was too easy and repetitive at times. The bosses are a little bit harder, but not that difficult. I personally buy a game for the main story mode therefore I cannot comment on the sub-games on it. The collectibles were very easy to find 95% of the time which I do not like. A lot of people like the Hypernova ability…it is cool, but very repetitive and you are only swallowing everything on your route. In my book, this game deserves a 7 out of 10 (8 if it was harder)

Sonic Mania7
Aug 31, 2017
Let’s start by saying my first console was a SEGA and my first game was Sonic Pinball. I eventually played other Sonic games afterward. To be honest, I always had a mixed feeling about Sonic games. Even if I find them interesting and usually complete them (few emeralds, not all), but there are a lot of things I do not necessarily like in general (hard to die, too many paths, too fast at times, easy bosses in general even if I liked their styles, hate the blue sphere mini game, etc.). When I saw Sonic Mania was coming out, I thought I would give it a chance considering the price was fine by me ($30 Canadian / digital). I feel that 60% of the game was old levels which were re-designed, but not that much. The other 40% was nice, but kind of the same mechanics. A few things were added which I appreciated like the UFO game, the bouncy fluids (switch) and the helix-like structures. I completed the game with 3 emeralds and 15 medals (2 gold). This game deserves a 7 or 8 out of 10, but definitely not a 9 or 10 unless it would be a complete new game with new levels and new abilities.

Chicken Wiggle7
Aug 23, 2017
I gotta say I was not quite sure what to expect from this game, but I was pleasantly surprised! It is a very easy game 75% of the time (it gets a little bit harder after level 5), but I kept wanting to play more and collect everything. I gotta say it **** that you do not get anything/unlock anything for collecting everything which I was not aware of. The gameplay mechanics are simple and well done. The few abilities were very nice, but not often obtainable. It took me about 4-5 hours to complete at 100%. The ‘‘hidden’’ letters are often on your way therefore you cannot missed them which ****. Interesting game to play thought. I am giving it a 7 because I cannot give a 7.5, but it would have been a 8 if the game was harder and the letters hard to find. I did not try the level editor option as it never interested me to create levels. I personally think it was worth my $20 (Canadian).

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword10
Aug 18, 2017
I've competed Skyward Sword in 2012 and I am ashamed to admit it was my first Zelda game ever (at that time). I then completed TP, WW, BOTW, ALTTP, ALBW, both oracle games, the Minish Cap, FSA, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening. This is the best Zelda game hands down for me. Not because it was my first one, but because of all the weapons, the graphics, the puzzles, the linear story, etc. This is very nice and special game especially with the wii remote and the nunchuck!! Anybody who owns a Wii should play this title. 10 out of 10 for me nothing more nothing less. PS The people complaining about the controls must not be **** can I say it...well you know what I mean...

Xeodrifter7
Aug 17, 2017
Xeodrifter (Wii U) is a neat little game! I was not ‘‘hooked’’ like other similar games (Shantae, Shovel Knight, Axiom Verge), but it kept me going and I enjoyed it. I completed it in about 3 hours at 97%. I think a sequel with a longer gameplay and more abilities would do well. I would have rated it a 8 if the game had been a little longer and a little bit harder (trust me it was hard by moments tho)

Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas4
Aug 17, 2017
I don’t know if people here actually played the game, but it is not very good on the Switch. I really tried to like it, but it did not have enough contents or nice gameplay to keep me going. I had to stop after 2 hours. The graphics are not bad, but it feels pretty basic. I understand it could be fun for a basic game on a cellphone, but not for a gaming console. It does not compete with the other games. Do not waste your money on this. You should try Kamiko if you are looking for a Zelda clone, but a good one.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition8
Aug 9, 2017
I’ve completed GSTCE last evening on the Wii U (Gamepad controls) and I gotta say I was quite impressed with the whole game. The levels are well designed and there are some clever passages. It took me about 11 hours to complete the game with 80% of the items (only got 3 orbs/those are hard to get). It gets quite hard towards the end of the game. Most of the bosses are simple, but challenging. It would have been a perfect game for me if Juan could fight with his hands and shoot with a weapon as well. The controls/combos were pretty cool as well.

Kamiko6
Aug 4, 2017
I played Kamiko last evening on the Switch. It reminded me a lot of TLOZ: The Minish Cap which I personally liked a lot. The game is simple, but quite hard at times. The puzzles are challenging, but not very hard. It took me about 1:20 to finish it. I played with Uzume (bow and arrows) and you can play with 2 other characters with a sword. I found the bosses interesting. Good game for the price! I would have gave it a 7.5 if the game was longer.

Blaster Master Zero7
Aug 3, 2017
I recently completed this game on the Switch. The graphics are nice, but the paste is a little slow at times. I would have gave it a 8 out of 10 if I could move faster in the game. I still enjoyed it! It was pretty nice to switch from controlling a vehicle to controlling a person. It took me about 6-7 hours to finish it and I found it fairly easy.

Cave Story Plus8
Aug 3, 2017
I had never played that game and decided to buy it for the Switch! I had to say I was impressed, but not VERY much like others. The game is fairly simple and easy in general (standard difficulty), but interesting. The gameplay mechanics are well done and the story is good. The graphics are very nice as the songs.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero9
Jul 5, 2017
I have played every Shantae's games and this is probably the best one! The abilities are very nice and the gameplay is near perfect. One of the best platformer games out there. People do not realize how many good titles there are on the Wii U....I personally do not like long **** took me about 6-7 hours to beat this one which is ok by me.
