Battlefield 39

I've only really played the multiplayer so this is what I speak for.
It is a relatively similar feel to Bad Company 2 in terms of multiplayer. Yet whereas BC2 had a strong sense of individual competence, BF3 forces you to have a strong reliance on teammates. You can drop dead in milliseconds and in some pretty unjust fashions, so watching where your teammates die and working with them to cover all sectors is vital to living relatively securely. If you do manage to have some cover in the midst of a conflict, the combat can get pretty intense and prolonged, explosions happen everywhere, bullets fly non-stop, and these moments make my day. The game really encourages saturating the enemy with bullets, which is fun. Who doesn't like shooting non-stop? The immersion is pretty fantastic if you ignore some movement and visual glitches that happen every so often. It runs well on my year old $600 computer, the sound is great, if not a little cacophonous. The teamplay is heart warming when it works, and being on top of the team by being the best team player is very rewarding. Think critically about helping your team, expect death at every corner, and you may take this game from a cool experience to a fun game.

This game's a visual treat and a fun and original gameplay piece, which made me nearly squeal in delight at times. Though pretty cool enhancement system, the game's pretty shallow and will entertain you for 30 mins every now and again. Good show.

This game has so much potential for a decent deathmatch game (which in itself isn't too attractive) but it's plagued with little bugs and iffy physics. The graphics and UI is nice and flashy, if not a bit rough on the edges, and the gameplay is arcady and quick, but I had some issues: My boost meter glitched out, I flipped my plane upside down and there was no roll keys to right it, I finished a level and it gave me gold, then took it away afterwards without explanation. I played it for a total of 10 minutes, declared it broken, and left it. I'm sure there's fun to be found, but there's easier less frustrating ways to amuse yourself.

In a world where multiplayer shooter equates to brown fps games, Altitude is a deliteful breath of fresh air. The thrill and skill of flying is equally matched with the intensity of teamwork. Plane ball really shows of Altitude's aptitude at making a team experience intense and rewarding. There's been critisism towards its simplicity, but seriously; the battles are far from simple and it's the teamplay that makes you a vital cog in a complex wheel. The community is light hearted and the games usually end with a round of 'gg's. I game to have fun. This game is fun. This is my type of game.
