Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse9
Jun 12, 2014
A quite high score because, first and foremost, I enjoyed this game. I won't try and say it's perfect or something like that, but it saddens me to see it berated. It did last about 10 hours. Which is about the same time as the other games, really. It may not seem much, but if it's well within the series average, I think it's good enough. Some say it looks dated, I say it looks nostalgic. It reminded me of the second game, and I really enjoyed that. I thought it was good value for my money. That said, as much as the first part is fine, the second borders on silly and a bit of Indiana Jones plagiarism. The overall impression being that the second part, that was released later than expected, was a bit rushed.

Starlight Inception8

Alright, so. This game isn't perfect, far from it. When I compare it with other Vita games, it's a little bit ugly. The character modelization, especially. That being said, characters aren't exactly the point, here, are there? No, the point is to have a space combat game on the Vita. And on that point, Starlight Inception delivers. I get to take my fighter out in space, battle other fighters in space, win some XP and use it to buy a better craft. And, since I didn't really want anything else out of this game, I'm quite happy with it. Sure, the horizon line is awfully close. Sure, the physics in an atmosphere seem to be same as in space, and that's a glaring violation of the laws of physics. That's why it doesn't get a ten. Still, I didn't have that much space-fun since Wing Commander.
