Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker4
Dec 24, 2019
This was probably the best they could come up with after the dumpster fire Last Jedi was.
Okaish-mehish story
Good action scenes
Gorgeous visuals
Acting was fine I guess
Better to watch it as a fan of Transformers than Star Wars. Your viewing experience will probably be better with that mindset.

This movie was a crazy ride.
One thing that it is to be admired about it, is its guts and uniqueness in what it does. It takes you on a spin with various elements that just make you end up being like: What is going on in here?!
And yet it keeps you glued to the screen to find out what's going to happen next.
Great acting overall and the well the movie was shot really took your breath away because it gives you little to no space to breathe. That's something for many movie makers to learn. The movie is a wide-open interpretation. There are many ways in which you can tackle this movie and experience it. One thing to mention is that this movie is NOT for everyone!
If you want to see something different, crazy and chill, then this one is for you but don't expect a specific something. I doubt you'll find it here.

It Follows9
Jul 25, 2019
It Follows is a well-executed horror movie that takes you back to a more classical world of horror. It eliminates a lot of predictability often seen in other horror movies and builds its own story along with the viewer's attention. The setting of the movie is really enjoyable with somewhat relatable characters and a mysterious/terrifying force that keeps coming at you throughout the movie always keeping the main character and the viewer on edge. One thing that I personally liked is those modern movies nowadays always have to "google" or go to a "library" in order to find out what that "thing" is. This movie leaves that open to interpretation which was quite good and instead focuses on its intense moments and the stress the characters have to go through in order for them to succeed in getting rid of it. I also enjoyed some inducing horror aspects of the creature itself where you end up looking at the screen thinking of where or if that's the thing that is coming. A really chilling experience. + Well acted
+ No jump scares
+ The atmosphere is well built as well as the setting
+ The creature itself is interesting and new, well-executed
+ No shakey cam
+ Feels like a throwback to classic movies in all the right ways
+ A chilly experience
+ Better to view with someone else - It plays it safe sometimes
- The ending could've been slightly better

A very intriguing horror movie with quite a few horror elements that get the viewer involved in its plot. The story and its characters are quite a spectacle to watch as they struggle due to their situation. While this isn't necessarily something new in a story like this, the acting and the atmosphere definitely helps sell the movie. The horror aspect relies heavily on atmosphere, sound and imagination which does help a lot for those who are paying attention. The monster itself is terrifying as most of the events happen within the viewer's head as well as the character's. I highly recommend this movie as its an interesting take on the horror genre and it does bring its own guns to the table with its gorgeous acting, really well-done setting, an intriguing and horrifying monster that keeps the suspense up along with a good story.

A poorly written zombie outbreak...again This movie was pretty much horrendous to watch that I could barely pull myself through to finish it.
The shakey cam is so annoying and awful, the characters themselves are boring without any bit of character development or personality. Generic through and through.
The scares are predictable, loud jump scare noises some of which are fake and drawn out.
The **** the characters displayed in this world are so inept. Those infected have much more intelligence than the actual characters for sure. That being said this movie had a lot of potential due to its setting. The fact that they tried to cover the situation after a zombie apocalypse can be really intriguing but it's so tough to follow and pay attention unless you stop thinking entirely about how this movie is gonna go. The army having absolutely no one to guard an infected person while someone else is able to pass through pretty much everything is unfathomable. And afterwards that 1 infected person inside the heart of the army is able to pretty much summon an army of zombies for the movie to continue. + Nice setting, location - Below average acting
- Horrible jump scares some of which are fake
- Forced plot through pretty much everything
- Chickens would survive better than these humans in this movie
- The army is absolutely inept at everything
- Unrelatable characters There are many other zombie movies out there way better than this one. This is pretty much a waste of time.

Bird Box2

A badly written rip off of "A Quiet Place"
The acting is somewhat serviceable but the whole "everything in this movie" is so unbearable to watch. Everything that's happening is very difficult to digest.
The only way to be able to enjoy this movie to a certain level at least, it's that you have to turn off every single brain cell you have. Because the plot is so *eugh* I do like how it was shot and a few elements, in the beginning, were fine?
But after that, it's just a train going downhill onto the road of nothingness as the drivers are probably blindfolded. The actors in the movie needed their paycheck and this was an easy cash grab. I mean seriously, some characters pop up and then they just leave or die in the most weirdish ways possible.
I can hardly recommend this to anyone.
Look out for a Quiet Place, it's the same thing but done good. + Nice to look at
+ Some scenes are okay
+ The acting is ok and horrible - Horrible plotline
- Boring ideas
- Characters act without any sort of logic
- Forced character progression and scene to scene development for no reason other than to mess themselves up
- Just a bad movie overall
- Give back my time I don't recommend this to anyone.

The Room0
Jul 24, 2019
The epitome of everything that can go wrong in a movie.
That being said, The Room is an utter masterpiece of madness.
This is pretty much a "must watch". Everything in it is perfectly wrong upside down.
Worth giving it a try with someone just for the number of hilarious scenes, acting and "plot" + One of a kind movie
+ Jonny
+ Hilarious dialogue - Plot, hello?
- Acting, are you there?
- Where am I, what world am I in?
- What am I watching?
- What did I just saw?
- Are you a movie?

Mirrors2
Jul 24, 2019
A typical Hollywood horror movie with a lot of blood/gore/boredom.
The plot is pretty much forced like every other standard horror movie but it does bring its own uniqueness with the mirrors element of the movie.
Unfortunately, a lot of it is very weak and see-through forcing many characters to do things that are questionable. Kiefer Sutherland's acting is pretty solid and he does carry the movie. Sadly he alone is not enough as the plot is very forced with sudden and pointless jump scares which are quite predictable and meh. The ending tries to be interesting and it does have a ring to it but sadly it's pretty much poor executed. A fun-flick to see with friends, popcorn and a couple of drinks.
As a single experience, those who are looking for a horror-chill experience might not find what they seek within this movie. + Mediocre acting
+ The movie looks nice overall
+ A simple but cool idea regarding the mirrors - Stupid jump scares
- Forced plot
- Common predictable horror props throughout the runtime

The Silence of the Lambs9
Jul 24, 2019
A very unsettling well-shot film.
The acting takes the cake as the characters hold up much of this movie.
It makes you feel quite uneasy throughout the whole movie and offers a unique experience. You can truly feel what the main character is feeling as the movie goes on and it just glues you to your spot as the events keep unfolding. The ending brings a chill down your spine with a well-hit twist. I recommend this no matter its age. It's something that modern films and future films have something to learn from. All in all, this movie is a piece of art.

The Others9
Jul 24, 2019
A true classic and a definite must-see movie.
The acting is fantastic, the atmosphere is present throughout the entire movie which holds it up quite well even to today's standards (or possibly even better). The scarry elements of the movie were well placed and elaborated upon by the characters and the narrative. I highly recommend it to any horror/thriller fan out there. The ending is pretty fantastic as well and I doubt it will disappoint most of you.

Unfortunately, this movie didn't live up to my expectations after "Get Out". It had an interesting beginning but it sort of gave away its plot and if you slightly pay attention you can pretty much figure it out long before the ending.
The acting is pretty neat and the way it's filmed sort of holds it up quite well.
I was surprised by the soundtrack, which was quite good, fun. It definitely felt like an interesting take on the horror genre but sadly it falls short.
The whole plot was just sort of...boring.
Still worth a watch but there are better choices out there.
I'm sure Jordan Peele can do much better than this. + Good acting
+ A well-shot film
+ Not bad soundtrack
+ Good movie elements - Not much of a horror
- Predictable
- The plot was weak
- Doesn't really go anywhere Overall it's slightly below average.

A movie I enjoyed. Props for the atmosphere and really nice acting. The story was pretty intriguing with a couple of tense moments as well as sweet moments wrapped around in everything that's wrong. Great acting
Amazing atmosphere
A few drops of horror
An interesting story overall
Worth giving it a shot for something different

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi4
Dec 17, 2017
[NO SPOILERS] I enjoy Star Wars and I'm a big fan of all the movies beside Episode I and II as well as the video games released on all platforms. I went to this film with some expectations after rewatching Star Wars The Force Awakens which was a movie I quite enjoyed and I thought it was fun. And I left this one wondering a bit with some sentiment of disappointment.
Overall this movie is a huge pile of mess with some good enjoyable moments scattered here and there. Things I like: + It's quite different than the others taking a slightly different direction in its settings, ideas, and characters. While not all of them hit the right spot, it's enough to keep it interesting and have the viewer curious about what will happen next. + Some of the effects are pretty good, well represented, solid characters and development with some twist and turns here and there. + Well done space battles. + A few new worlds for those that are interested. + Luke Skywalker + A nice well-done saber battle around the middle of the movie Things I dislike: - Unsatisfying moments, the movie doesn't deliver anything that's impactful enough to leave you with a sentiment of awe, unlike the previous ones. - Some of the interesting story elements Force Awakens hinted at are either poor answers or they weren't answered at all. A big letdown here and a waste of good story elements that are just suddenly dropped. - One of the biggest issues I've had with this movie is that it feels like a compilation of smaller Star Wars movies linked together to make this one. The story itself doesn't flow too well and there are a lot of inconsistencies. - The plot is also forced with an arc parallel to the interesting bit of the story following Finn and a new character that's really unnecessary and kinda pointless in the end. - Questionable decisions - Snoke is a letdown and we find out nothing more about him in this movie. So if you're looking out to find out more from him, there's nothing here that will add to it. - A lot of humor that's thrown in situations that just don't work. They remove the intensity and pressure by making jokes that aren't even that funny. - Captain Phasma is also a letdown. She probably has as much screen time as she did in Force Awakens with the same amount of lines. - We find out little to nothing about the story overall though to it's credit we do discover Luke's backstory as well as Ren's. Conclusion: It's a decent movie, I wouldn't say it's bad but it's a far cry from a praise. I personally loved Star Wars Rogue One and this one falls in comparison which is a shame.
Luckily some of the characters hold up the movie with their well-acted scenes, good cinematography and camera work.
Luke Skywalker is holding up this movie and without him, it would fall even lower.
Overall it's a disappointment for the most part but there's enough in this for people to enjoy. This one is more comparable to Revenge of the Sith, for some will be lower than Revenge of the Sith and for others, it will probably be a bit higher. Just don't expect anything outstanding and don't think that some of your questions about Snoke, Finn, Rey and other characters will be answered here.

Logan10
Mar 8, 2017
This movie is a 10/10 for me as it hits a lot of good things throughout the movie. While some people may be disappointed with the villains or the ending not being too impactful, I really found it so as this movie is pointing directly at Wolverine and some of the other main characters while also, in a way establishes a new generation (the children). The characters are beyond amazing, the storyline is interesting, the fighting scenes are really entertaining and interesting to watch while still feeling tense due to Logan not being able to regenerate as fast anymore. It's a drama that contains character development, intense moments, various scenes and character development and a really sweet way of wrapping up things. Credit has to be given to movies who do something differently and amazing and I think Logan and Deadpool did just that. Support amazing movies like these so that we can show these movie makers what we love the most. Story: 9/10
Characters: 10/10
Action: 10/10

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens9
Aug 9, 2016
I had a feeling I won't be disappointed by this movie and I'm glad I was right. While the plot moved really fast, within the time frame of the movie, I think most of the plot elements and characters were greatly handled. I'm glad to see Star Wars back in full force. People have gotten used to hate, I suppose that feeling is easier to spread than appreciation for the effort and love that went into the movie. ( Yes Yes, I'm aware that it was about the money, bla, bla). But to be honest, I think that this movie delivered some justice and it deserves to be Episode VII. Could've it been better? Perhaps... Does the plot seem forced? A bit. Is it a bad movie? Hell no. I'm looking forward to Episode VIII.
