Haters gonna hate, but this game didn't feel worth the hype. Only the Halo and Call of Duty series can get away with re releasing games time and time again.

A masterpiece ****. Tutorial is short and gives little help, but ask players for some help, and just stick with the game. Good things come with time.

This game was so bad, Monte Cristo was forced into bankruptcy due to a lack of sales. Not joking. It's that bad. I got in on the beta, and most people bailed before the release. Monte Cristo was afraid to push back the release date in favor of completing the game. Could have used those few extra months in development.

*sigh* Not amazing. Don't waste your money. Gameplay is boring. REALLY boring. You move switches. It's not even a real simulator, so no using that excuse. Avoid at all costs, a waste of shelf and hard drive space.

OK, if you hate the game, you're either doing it wrong or clearly aren't interested in simulation games. IL2 IS A FLIGHT SIMULATOR. If you want action-packed simple controls, get something else like Blazing Angels. Several years old, but remains probably the best combat flight sim in existence. Destruction, realism, good flight simulation, and okay graphics. In game multiplayer is useless, but getting Hyperlobby (****) is easy and pain free, and offers many benefits. Mods are readily available, with many communities alive to this date. At only $9.99 on Steam, this game is a must-have for all simulator fans, and a good play for others.

OK, bought it on steam, and here's my basic experience: DLC doesn't work. Multiplayer works through the same system, and is thus broken. Simulation is inaccurate. The pretty destruction of IL2 is gone. 1 point for shiny graphics, but other than that IL2 beats it on every level.
