Not great candidate for someones first 'soulslike' as it has proven to be rather difficult in comparison to its friends in genre like 'Bloodborne' & 'Dark Souls'. This game has a slower start but picks up the pace and keeps injecting the gameplay with more features as you progress further and further into the story. This game is definitely more linear in comparison to other games in the genre that I have mentioned above however it doesn't feel too strict either. Difficulty of some bosses may feel really unfair however I have found it usually to be the case of finding a correct purposefully built set-up that can take advantage of boss's weaknesses. Or altering your play-style slightly towards parry style combat or heavy style. For me this game is so far on par with 'Bloodborne' with 'Sekiro' still being favourite. I will update my review when I complete the story as I believe I'm only half way through so far.

Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered9

I have played this game so much on PS3 that it was a no brainer when Remastered version came out on PS4. I have completed the main store about 4 or 6 times now and keep coming back maybe once a year.
I rate this part of the series as my favourite overall ranking even higher than AC4 Black Flag and AC2.
The only issue that I have found and the only reason I can’t give this game a 10 is lack of things to spend money on in the end game. Sure, the high end ship upgrades are expensive but the rewards for naval campaigns are also ridiculously large and I find myself with millions of pounds in bank without any way to spend them. Rather then that the game is outstanding for it’s time it has been an amazing experience and coming back to it now it still feels like a great game despite old mechanics and clunky controls.

I have not played any of the previous parts of the series and have always heard good stuff about it. I had fun playing through the story and completed it successfully however as soon as you are given a full experience as players like to call it, and the world opens up, the full time job vibe kicks in too. At this point you start to notice how horrible the inventory is and levelling becomes literal job. Never-mind the hours you’ve put into the character here’s 1st season that has a battle pass and you need to grind a new character again wasting dozens of hours of your life on boring levelling in the same dungeon, same quests, same everything but now you can skip the story. If you have life don’t bother, if you like the theme, buy the game finish story and sell the game on.
