Sonic the Hedgehog9

It’s a great port of sonic 1, that’s really it.
Not the most cost effective way to play but they put a lot of work into emulating right. It plays like the genesis version, slowdown in all the right places. Crispy visuals with a few extra graphics options and a good save system that works well. Different modes for people who like to speed run or get high scores but nothing too crazy. I wish it came with some cool concept art and videos on the making of the original and its impact and legacy for fans of the series, but what’s here is good. As for the game itself, it’s sonic 1, a classic. Great music, level design, visuals, fun and challenging gameplay, but criminally short. Labyrinth and marble worlds are probably my least favorite. Water levels in sonic can get tense trying not to run out of air but your moment is really slow cause you know water. For marble world, the music kind of ****, and you don’t get to utilize your speed much at all, mostly just slow precise platforming. The rest of the game slaps and I love. If you have a switch and never played sonic 1 you really must if you like platformers or sonic.

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition4

I reviewed this game once
Gave it a 6 Has decent combat, good running, bad story, boring loot. I played this and the dlc in 2 player coop the whole time. The Following DLC really **** though
It brings the whole game down, the story in this one is even worse and depending on your ending contradicts the main game. Plus once you make a choice you can’t go back and see the other ending which also **** and has a really terrible final boss fight. You also can’t do the final sequence in coop. The open world ****, there is a huge deemphasis on parkour in this dlc since you get car and have to constantly drive across a huge map in this one with no fast travel and constantly have to repair and fuel your car with loot. Out of loot you walk which normally would be fine but this isn’t a city it’s a country side that is mostly long roads and open fields. The car can be fun to drive at times but after the first few missions it gets old really fast. Also you have to do side missions all over the map to get through the story. Over all this is just way less fun than the main game and offers an awful end to an already bad story.

Dying Light6

Hostly not bad for a zombie game It can get unbelievably repetitive and has a god awful story that I couldn’t even bother to sit though half the time. Combat is pretty fun but the loot aspect is not great, really slow to get actually useful weapons. The day night aspect is great, really tense at night for those who want it and want to level up faster, but is completely optional for the most part. Running and parkour feels good, drop kick is great, the grappling hook makes no sense realistically but at least it’s fun to use. Over all good but not great
The DLC though Absolute **** But this is a review for the main game so that doesn’t factor in here

A fantastic but simple rouge-like. Beautiful art style that parodies the style used in ads from major tech corporations such as Facebook. Combat is simple but fun and the game is easy enough for people who are new to rouge-likes to finish. There is still a good amount of content and a gauntlet mode that offers a challenge to those who want it. Story is great and writing is really funny and filled with jokes of different type of tech companies such as dating app developers and crypto. As well getting at the cut throat nature of working at these companies. It’s fantastic indie game I highly recommend to anyone.
