TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) This game is the most fun I've had with any PvP game in years. It's slick, entertaining and makes you feel like some kind of anime ninja akin to Naruto. I've had the game for barely a week and already sunk 4 hours into it without even playing it with friends. The people playing it online in quick match are generally really friendly and I've actually ended up adding a few to Steam. It's got good body physics and some really unique weapons (my favourite being the dagger that allows you to teleport). It also has that classic Landfall feel despite being made by a sister company 'Landfall West'. However, the game is not without it's shortcomings. It's relatively simple which works to both it's benefit and detriment. It doesn't really hold my interest for longer than an hour at a time which isn't inherently bad but without some friends to play it with you might not get all this game has to offer. More so the physics can be frustrating at times with weapons glitching through environments in about half the multiplayer games I played. TL;DR Fun game Nice community Has a good art style (Landfall signature style) Nice weapon variety Good physics but can be frustratingly 'glitchy' Can be addictive Easy to lose interest in without friends Final score: 9/10

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) It's just plain and simple fun. There's nothing bad about it. It's simple in it's execution. The controls are tight and satisfying. The art-style is plain and simple but it works well. There's not really much you can bash about a game like this. It's perfect for it's genre. Whilst not everyone's cup of tea. For those who are looking for a 2 button beat 'em up where you just stand still and punch in one direction or the other, this is the game for you. TL;DR Tight controls Satisfying as all hell Perfect in it's execution Graphics are nice Nothing else could really be improved. Final Score 10/10 (It perfects what it sets out to do, can't fault it at all)

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) An absolute tour de force. Life is Strange certainly isn't a game for everyone. Those who dislike the 'Telltale' format probably won't get much of a kick out of this. However, for those who do (or even some who don't) this game is an emotional blast. The characters are fun and likeable (although some of them do drag at times) and most people will know someone irl who reminds them of some of the characters. The story is interesting and for the most part very well executed. The puzzles and time mechanics are well implemented but not always satisfying, however when they are, they really make you feel good about yourself. However, the graphics are a little drab, but this doesn't mean that the game suffers from it. The writing can be a little cheesy at times and will make you, as I Hate Everything would say 'grimace.' TL;DR Likeable characters Good story Writing can be cheesy Graphics are sub-par Puzzles are mostly well designed Time mechanic is fun and unique Final Score: 9/10

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) This game is utter crap. I got this as a joke from a friend and ****. Tries to be 'memey' and fails hard. I broke the game by going back to the main menu after unlocking a new fidget spinner and then repeated until I unlocked them all without having to actually play the game. It's terrible to look at. The only bit of humour is the main menu where it plays a fun little song about how bad fidget spinners are. TL;DR Terrible game Horrible visuals Fails at humour Nice main menu music (probably gets annoying after a while) Final Score: 0/10 'True Score': 3/10 (Music was funny and some of the stuff on the menu made me chuckle a little. Also Gabe Newell spinner made me smile but ultimately all of this faded after about 30 seconds.)

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) Spermination is another joke game. Objectively speaking it's probably worse than Bad Rats. However, it's so much more fun! The game handles...poorly but it's never rage inducing. It clearly has some sense of humour that is often at the expense of the player. Be it the underwhelming victory of a deformed child or the rub-it-in-your-face defeat of going into the stomach instead. There is a variety of options for you to 'prepare your load' with and it does make the game more fun. In addition to this the game is actually fairly re-playable given the amount of options to customise your sperm with. The graphics are terrible, that should be no surprise, but it does not detract from the overall experience of the game. TL;DR As a game it's terrible As an experience it's amazing Graphics are abysmal Gameplay is clunky It's just fun to play Re-playable Good variety of load-out options Good sense of humour at players expense Probably not for everyone Final Score: 7/10

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) Had a lot of fun with this one. Fun visuals, reminds me of escapists mixed with Hotline Miami. Fast paced, good to play with friends, very hard but rewarding. Sometimes feels a little unfair but game is still in alpha. Lots of room to grow here, I honestly hope this game gets some traction. The game controls very nice with mouse and keyboard. You will have a good time playing this game and it has an insanely high replay value to it. This game would be perfect if not for the fact it's still in it's early stages but that just means there's more room to grow. TL;DR Nice visuals Fun gameplay Challenging but rewarding Good to play with friends Can be a little unfair at times Controls are tight High replay value Final Score: 9/10

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) Moto Racer 4 is at it's core, an arcade game. However, where I can normally enjoy arcade racing games such as DiRT 3 and SSX, Moto Racer 4 is an unfinished mess. The game has some sense of humour with it's parody-like characters and such, but it just lacks depth. The visuals are passable and the gameplay is simple enough, but it just doesn't feel finished...what a disappointment... TL;DR Nice enough visuals Some sense of parody Controls well enough Feels rushed Lacks depth Final Score: 4/10

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) Look. I get the meme. It's the original bad Steam game (okay maybe not the original but it was one of the first ones to achieve joke status). Still, I played this game originally for a YouTube video. However I could not get past the tutorial. This game is utterly shocking. The game is horrible to look at. The tutorial is painfully long and unbearable to listen to. I get the game was probably made as a joke, but come on **** friend with no prior experience in game design made a better game in a weekend for Ludum Dare than you **** you want to make a good joke game; at least make sure that I'm not considering blowing up my PC after playing 5 minutes of it. On the upside, good meme there. TL;DR Terrible tutorial Horrible visuals Obviously a joke game Good meme Final Score: 2/10 Final "True" Score: 13278462894612984129479/10

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) Objectively speaking, this game is meh, it's a bit of dumb fun with friends that can keep you occupied for maybe 1-2 hours. However, given it's price and how easy it is to play. It's worth a couple of bucks, especially if it's on sale. Make no mistake, this game is not amazing, it's not good. It's passable, but it's so much fun! However it's not fully fleshed out and a little repetitive, but to it's credit, it was once a lot worse and the developers did listen to community feedback....until they made their next game. TL;DR Time waster Fun Cheap Not fully fleshed out Repetitive Developers listened to feedback, they have the potential to do it again! Final Score: 6/10

TL;DR at the bottom for those with little time to spare :) I would just like to state that I am an incredibly large fan of Bungie's pre-destiny work, be it Halo, Marathon or Myth so lots of personal bias ahead but I'll try to be objective. Given that this game came out in 2001, it's aged incredibly well. The controls aren't confusing or hard to grasp. The story is well written and acted. It's an all around good game that proved its worth as the flagship product for the XBox. Given that the FPS genre was still relatively untouched on consoles, save for Rare's 'GoldenEye 007' and 'Perfect Dark.' Bungie did an amazing job of not only near perfecting the FPS formula on the console, but also defining the tropes of the genre for years to come. Two weapon limit, using the left trigger to throw grenades. These may be considered common mechanics now, but Halo, for better or for worse, was at the forefront of pushing these mechanics into the genre. Not only is this refinement and improvement on the genre impressive, as mentioned before the FPS genre did not have a strong foothold on the console market. The genre was pretty much confined to the PC (not that they had reason for complaint with games like Half-Life, Counter Strike and the original DOOM). So for Bungie to bring a relatively new genre as it was, to a platform that wasn't familiar with the genre, and a new platform franchise no less, and it was still a success speaks volumes of Bungie's ability in crafting this game. Whilst I can speak huge volumes of praise for the game. It is not without it's shortcomings. Whilst it doesn't have too much of an impact on the game. There is a very small amount of weapons available (although there is a nice amount of vehicles). 5 UNSC weapons and 3 Covenant weapons to be exact, and whilst for the most part these weapons are well balanced and implemented into the game. The magnum is so powerful it practically removes the need for any other weapon so long as you're a crack shot. However, those first two issues were more on the knit-picking side, my major issue with this game, and one anyone who is familiar with the game I'm sure will agree with me on. The Library as a level is just a nightmare. On the easy difficulty it's more just an endless and repetitive journey through the same flood infested halls (which also reminds me that for many levels, there was a lot of backtracking, I know it's a frequent problem with older FPS games like the Metroid Prime games but Pillar of Autumn is an excellent example of completely linear level design with practically no elements of backtracking other heading too and then leaving the bridge.) but on legendary, The Library is an absolute nightmare, even with a friend by your side. TL;DR Aged well Good controls Good story and acting Genre defining and innovative beyond it's years Occasional good level design mixed with lots of backtracking The Library should've been left out Short range of weapons to choose from Nice variety of vehicles The pistol has the power to destroy the Death Star Final score: 9/10 I didn't mention the multiplayer as I wasn't familiar with Halo back when it first came out, but playing the Master Chief Collection's version of it was fun if not impossible due to the years of skill many of the players would have under their belt.
