The actual game here is really good, one of the best 40k video games for a long time. Actually production values with a decent story and solid gameplay. The interface looks a lot like XCOM but you can't play it in the same way - aggression is required. The difficulty is also higher than most games of its type with normal being an actual challenge, if you are comfy playing XCOM on normal then consider playing this on easy.

This is an excellent game which strikes a good balance between simulation and gameplay, creating an experience which is both complex and challenging but simple enough to get started with that newcomers to the submarine sim genre can jump right in and have fun. Overall the gameplay is tense and can be paced to your own tastes through the use of time compression. The tutorials are perhaps not as thorough as one might hope, and there are a few critical functions which are bafflingly only attached to shift+a key bindings which should definitely be given buttons on screen, but other than that the user interface is good and provides critical information well. Also of note is the fact that the game does allow for UI rescaling so this game is suitable for use with UHD 4k screens, and looks fantastic on them. If you're at all interested in the setting and enjoy games with deliberate, thoughtful gameplay then this title is certainly worth looking at.

I haven't come across all that much in the way of bugs, and while it isn't perfect I'm confident that many of the issues will be fixed soon. Even as is though, I've had a lot of fun and have certainly got value for money out of the game, so I'd happily recommend it.

The gameplay is good once you get used to it, personally I have no real problems with the controls. The graphics are good, with the big naval guns having a lot of weight to them. There isn't all that much single player content, and what there is really needs to be played coop anyway. Hopefully more will be added over time, but as it is I'd say it's currently worth the money.

There are, with the current patches, still a few bugs. However, considering **** track record and the patches so far I'm sure these will be resolved son. The game itself is fantastic, masterfully combining RPG elements with classic 4X game-play. While there is room for improvement, I am sure that the full potential will be realised, going on what **** have outlined as content for patches, hence the high score. If you enjoyed Galactic Civilizations, then you will enjoy this.
