The greatest strategy game of all time. Amazing mods out there too. The only game I've ever given a 10/10 for. I look forward to the true sequel Rome II.

Lasting Appeal: RAGE is a great shooter and quite fun to play once you forget about the world it is set in. Having such a diverse world in this kind of game makes you want to explore and find out about this history of the game. The absence of any real story makes the game feel ultimatly forgettable and the lack of an online competitive mode that is of the same genre to the main game will leave you unsatisfied and never returning to this game upon completion. Even if you are a hardcore fan of Post Apocolyptic worlds, the game doesnt have more than 10-20 (being generous) hours of content in it that will keep you playing. I would reccommend renting it or purchasing on sale just for the experience of the shooting in the single player campaign. In the end it feels like a fun but unfinished shooter that ends too quickly. Trophy Difficulty: Medium. Story: 3/10 Gameplay: 7/10 Graphics: 6/10 Sound: 8/10 Lasting Appeal: 5/10 Read my full review: ****/2012/07/02/rage-review/

Dead Space 2 stays true to it’s roots in this sequel, building on some solid foundations and adding a few nice touches. However the awe and wonder which it’s predecessor struck in the heart of the player has gone. Whereby you knew your ship inside out and how it was all interconnected in “Dead Space”, powering on the Engines, restoring oxygen in Hydroponics, powering back on the communications array… You now traverse from room to room on The Sprawl and feel like the developer is trying to show you cool and interesting things rather than them existing naturally. You go from an amazingly built Church of Unitology to a kindergarden to a life support generator which makes you wonder… “Who would build these next to eachother?” Because of this seemingly poor level design structure you get off the Sprawl without any sense of real achievement. You didn’t really power back on anything, the developer did. Going from epic scene to bossfight is great if you can also believe the world you are in. Ultimately, “Dead Space 2″ is overshadowed by it’s predacessor and has lost the immersion that it once had. The best part of “Dead Space 2″ wasn’t flying through space or shooting 100 monster-children in the Church, it was when you returned briefly for 1 of the 15 chapters to the location of the first game and you remembered how amazing it was to be once onboard the famous USG Ishimura. While inFAMOUS 2 has some shortcomings, they are dwarved by the exciting story, diverse powers and gripping gameplay. You won’t find any open world superhero sandbox as good as this, let alone many games in general as good as this. At about 15hrs per playthrough and with all the user levels, this game has huge replay value. **** Punch have outdone themselves, and I cannot wait to see what they have in store for the ever growing popularity of Cole McGrath. If you like Indie Games, you will sink alot of time into Sound Shapes, especially if you have a Vita. As part of Sony’s Cross-Buy initiative, if you buy it once, you get it twice, for Vita and PS3, with your save being carried over whenever you play. Imagine sitting on a flight, a train or bus, creating new tracks or playing some of the community ones to kill some time, and with Death Mode you will be stuck for ages trying to get that Platinum! Sound Shapes is a great deal of fun and for the price is well worth it as there is virtually endless hours of playtime thanks to Play. Create. Share. Retro Grade’s unique take on the Ryhtm game genre will leave you suprised and satisfied. On a higher difficulty it can be quite challenging and though trophy hunters will be dissapointed with the lack of Platinum and extreme difficulty of attaining all the bronzes, the sheer addictiveness will have most players looking to unlock 100% of this games content. Quirky, addictive, fun and unique it’s everything an indie game should be.
