for a simple-appearing game in black-and-white, we get a surprising amount of depth and adventure.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 17

A fascinating debut into the world of Poppy playtime, where we learn the mechanics and introduction to the lore The only problem is the game is short! The following chapters continue to improve.

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 310

Might be the best episode of the series so far. The game mechanics and lore are in full swing and it allows everything to blossom. Main villain is terrifying and the things it does to the other animal mascots is insane. Highly recommend this one.

I freaking love this game. Very influenced by Zelda 1. Very satisfying sounds and animations.

Made by an absolute madman. First person horror puzzler. Often frustrating but with time and persistence you will slowly make your way up the stairway to heaven. Such a heavenly reward awaits you there! You will learn to love the pain.

One of the best games of all time. Great characters, intriguing story, and hilarious sense of humor. The music! THE MUSIC! So good. Every human needs to try this game. You learn a lot about yourself in the process. Pacifist route or Kill them all? You decide. Groundbreaking and deeply influential on games that followed.

Starts off promising as a cute, fun top down adventure. Quickly unravels with too many characters, very confusing battle dynamics with no tutorial. Too much wordy psychobabble. Dreadful.

Garten of Banban 8: Anti Devil7

A pretty good return to form after part zero was too short and strange. The new mechanic of the game is a color based zapper where you can mix and match colors based on the colors of the characters. I found this to be a bit annoying. The opening sequence in the jail was pretty cool, but the rest is pretty forgettable. Not the best, but not the worst entry either.

Garten of Banban 06

The shortest and weakest entry in the series. This happened to be my entry point but all the other games in the series are superior so far.
We do find that the events here are important to understand what lead to part eight.

I do typically enjoy this type of first person puzzle quest, but I found the puzzles to be too difficult to solve on my own. I do like that you can get hints. Using a QR code on the pause screen you can be taken to a website (in Japanese!) where the answers can be found.
