Very grindy, lost most of it's identity compared to the first one. And even as a new game most of the mechanics aren't fun.

What a delight to play. It's very chaotic and camera sometimes is crap, but it offers fresh ideas to quite stale platforming genre and I'm loving it so far. I was never a fan of old Donkey Kong games, so I had no prior expectations of what this game should've been.

I can understand why music was changed due to licensing costs, but why not to add everything what was in the original game content wise and remove whole levels?

It's not a perfect game in any way, but it was perfect for me, because it's quite unique experience with a very unique setting, and beautiful world. It's like if Brothers: A tale of two sons and Plague's Tale: Innocence had a baby. It's a linear, stealth puzzle based experience with not much room for improvisation how to tackle each scenario, but it's fun to execute.

Even better than the first one in every way possible. Gameplay with more options, combat is better if you want to do it, story is same old Kojima, and the graphics are immaculate. strong recommendation if you like unique stuff.
