This game has SERIOUS control issues! I'm a longtime gamer who is VERY familiar with platformers, Metroidvanias and I can handle really difficult games but this game just makes me rage.

Aldred - Knight of Honor8

This is quite good, for being a budget game. The graphics are simple and functional, they look nice. Several enemy types with varied attack patterns. Very nice music, and okay sound effects. Levels have a decent design and can at times be a little challenging but not too much. At full price it might not be worth it but you should definitely get it when it's on sale. Out of hundreds of budget games I've checked out, this absolutely belongs in the upper 25%, hence the score. I like the game and it's nice to play, it's obvious that the developer has made an effort here. Only downside is that the knight looks very pale in the face. Is he undead or just a chain-smoker?

Super cheap game with stolen graphical content, annoying sound, boring level design and lots of fake reviews from the developer's friends. Don't waste your time with this game.

Many fake reviews here, most of them probably from friends of the developer and all of them done in just a few days with no reviews for other games at all. Could it be more fake than that? No way a cheap game like this can get that sort of traction, nor does it deserve top ratings like this. Too bad that Metacritic doesn't check reviews more closely. This game is NOT worth rating 10, more like 1-2. It's extremely low budget, most graphical elements are just borrowed/stolen from another game or a Unity pack, the music is annoying and the level design is extremely dull and boring. It's also clear that the developer wants the game to look like a Mario clone, by using some kind of colored version of Luigi or something like that.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition6

I feel this game deserves another review. Mainly because it's way too hyped for it's own best. It's not nearly as perfect as many reviewers claim it to be. After playing this game for several hours, here's what I think: *Graphics is a big hit-or-miss. You either like this style (and if so, you will think it's splendid) or you dislike it. Personally, I'm a little unsure. It DOES have good animation. Characters models are good and detailed. But...I still don't really like the STYLE of the graphics. So that's a very personal thing. But are the graphics GOOD? I would say "yes". Maybe 7-8 out of 10. Still, playing in handheld mode makes it tough to see some details, so maybe 7 is a fair final grade for the graphics. Lots of things are just too small. *Sound: Fitting music, but it's also very repetitive and super annoying. Sound effects are good, but also very repetitive. Due to this, I would give it only a 5 or 6 out of 10. *Controls: It's fairly easy to control the main character but the game is very demanding in certain areas, requiring lots of that modern "super precision **** I'm not very fond of that. I didn't expect that this game would have so much of that, so that makes me a little disappointed. Some maneuvers are annoyingly tough to achieve. 7 out of 10. Gameplay: The story is interesting, but being forced to make complicated combos is not my idea of fun. General platforming however, is nice. Minus those super precision parts. And the tricky maneuvers. Still, the game has a good layout and overall design, but why do I feel the game just isn't that much fun to play? I've had more fun with cheaper and lesser known games, and Guacamelee is a very wellknown game that also has a high overall grade. It also seems some quests can't be completed due to bugs? Especially one where you're asked to gather three ingredients, but when you got all of them, the quest still can't be completed. Maybe I missed something vital but to me that felt a lot like a bug. Gameplay only gets 6 out of 10 from me. Honestly, I had high hopes for Guacamelee, everyone seemed so starstruck by the game but it failed to impress me. Maybe I had too high expectations, but it simply wasn't what I expected. A few fun references here and there to other games, but that ultimately can't save this game from getting a lower grade. All in all, I think the game only deserves a 6. It has a few qualities, but something is definitiely missing. Feudal Alloy was more interesting to me than this.

Horrible asset flip game by wellknown asset-flipper Benjamin Kistler (asset flip = cloned game which is just bought premade and then resold under a different name). AVOID!

Zaccaria Pinball2
Aug 16, 2021
First of all: I really like real pinball, ie physical tables, but I'm not so interested in old tables from the 70s and early 80s. And that's pretty much what Zaccaria offers here. So if you DO like those kind of older pinball tables, you might enjoy this more than I did. That being said, I've tried several digital pinball games over the years and this was probably one of the worst that I tried. If not THE worst. But let's start with the good, shall we? PROS: *Lots of tables to play (free trial just to get a feel for them) *Lots of settings to adjust the game *Controls seem ****. CONS: *Bad graphics that feel kind of cheap, other games have manage to give me a nicer and better pinball feel. I didn't like this at all, even though I adjusted the view of the table. *Sound is boring, to say the least. Maybe it's an accurate version of how the real tables were, but like I said...I dislike the older pinball tables. *You can try many tables for **** only until you've gathered a certain amount of points. And that limit is LOW. Like, really low. Some tables will only let you play for about one minute, because that's when you hit the point roof and are promptly thrown out of the game. Literally. That felt very cheap, they could have assigned a certain amount of balls, or a time limit or just about **** even rasied the score limit higher. But playing a table for only 1-2 minutes aren't really enough to get a good feel of how good or bad the table reallly is. So even though you CAN try all the ****'ll likely get frustrated when they shut down the game almost right away. *Bad ball physics, doesn't feel like the ball accelerates or slows down correctly, and even though the trial time is short, the ball died more often there than when I played another pinball game for 20 minutes. So yeah...I like pinball and I've played lots of digital pinball, but there are sooo many better options than this out there. Zaccaria might have been one of the big ones when it came to physical tables, but people play what's available, and now I understand why Bally and Williams were bigger, because their tables were just better than this.
