Wow! Just Wow! This game is absolutely amazing. Firstly it looks sumptuous with its beautiful and mesmerizing 2.5D graphics. The audio is also top class, projecting the feel of being alone perfectly. However most importantly the gameplay is close to perfect. Controls are tight and the buttons are well mapped so that it becomes second nature to pull off any of the actions required. The story is the same old "Samus has lost all her weapons" deal (She really should be more careful...) , but this is of little consequence as the rest of the storyline is great. The normal grinding mechanic is punctuated by regular spurts of genuine panic as the E.M.M.I. sees you and starts its chase. In my opinion this is the best 2D Metroid game so far and not only that but probably one of the best games of 2021 so far. One thing to note is that if you have grown up on overly easy games then this game will be a shock to the system. However if you like challenge rather being told you are great all the time then you will love it.

If you value fun then this game is for you. It is a throw back to the days when games were simply made to be pure joy to play and watch. The tracks are crazy and over the top, the action is frantic and the music is catchy. Gameplay wise it is straight out of the arcade racer play book. Simple to get into but hard to master, with plenty of shortcuts and collectables on each stage. It is a pure adrenaline rush. There are a good number of tracks to enjoy and loads of unlockable cars and upgrades. It is not after your cash like many of these games so often are these days. Everything is unlocked via gameplay. Screenshots of the graphics do not do the game justice. It looks amazing when running and there is so much going on in the background that even watching someone play is a joy. I wish more games like this were released...

This seems like the football game I have been waiting for on switch. It plays like old school 90s football games (think sensible soccer and kick off) and that is a very good thing. If you value fun over licensed players (and surely the reason you play games is for fun?) then you will enjoy this game. It is not perfect but it is reasonably polished and the small occasional bugs do not distract from the game play.

Picked this up as it looked interesting but was not expecting it to be quite as good as it actually turned out to be! This is a modern take on the 16 bit racing games of old (Think Outrun, Lotus Turbo Challenge and Jaguar XJ220 etc). It is presented wonderfully and there are various modes that unlock as you play. The game plays brilliantly and feels like the old games that it sets out to emulate while still feeling modern and tight. The graphics are clean and nostalgic while still being sharp. The music is pure genius and is as catchy as the tunes in the 16 bit games of the 90s (So many new games have forgettable music). There is a huge number of locations and tracks and cars unlock as you play. All in all this is a great game for anyone that loves racing games, especially those that love 16 bit racing games.

Nintendo certainly seem to have the magic touch. This is another amazing game and probably the best Mario game so far! The environments are amazing, control is as great as usual and there is so much to do that I think my life needs to be put on hold! A pure joy to play.

Brilliant game with brilliant puzzles fantastic humour and just a great example of a point and click adventure. This game is responsible for some very late nights as I just can't stop playing it! I really hope they make more games like this. You can see the pedigree in this game and the Switch is the perfect home for it. Gamers new to the genre might find it a little tough at the beginning but there is a great unobtrusive hint system and once you get the way the puzzles (and the twisted minds of the developers) generally work it will become a far smoother experience.
