Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection10
May 10, 2016
This review is for both the Ps3/Xbox 360 versions. Great collection. It's missing Budokai 2, but lets be honest if BK3 was the only one here it would be a great HD port and well worth it. Budokai 1 and 3 are all this game contains. WOuldn't call it much of a collection, but that shouldn't deter for what a great value this game is. Budokai 1 still stands as one of the best DBZ games of all time. Only overshadowed by its prediccessor, Budokai 3. BUdokai 1 has a limited character roster, and yet you don't feel like anyone is missing from the limited roster. The character roster is striaght to the point, no filler. BUdokai 3, however has a much wider selection of characters, which isn't a bad thing at all. Not only that, it also features a much more refined movelists and character movement. The fights feel faster in Budokai 3, the animations feels more robust, the movement is much more fluid. The characters just pop and have a lot more detail. It's the ultimate farewell to the budokai series. It remains, in my opinion, the best DBZ game of all time. The story mode from the first game is missing, replaced by '' Dragon unniverse'' where you can play as 8 of the main characters. You have a hub and you explore the small maps, namek, and earth. You can find dragon balls, assist items, battles that'll level up your characters. You also have an RPG like leveling up systerm, where you increase your stats based on XP earned via battles. I highly recommend it. It's a shame good games aren't recognized and often ignored simply because the publisher didn't shower reviewers with money or paid reviews. I give DBZ Budokai a 10/10 Replay value 5/5 Artstyle 5/5 Music/audio 5/5 ( voices both in **** and ENG) Controls 5/5
