This is a great game, but I feel is a step back from the first one. The graphics improved and got worse at the same same time. Special effects and animations got better, while character model and colours got worse. The biggest miss for me is the single player content, it’s very reduced from the first one, but there’s still plenty to do. Great roster, but no GT.

This one is my favourite Dragon ball game to date (I’m writing this review a day before sparking zero). I played almost every DB game out there and this is very special. It’s a sequel to Budokai Tenkaichi 3 but more of a spin-off with familiar ideas mixed in with new **** gameplay is a little bit slower than BT3 but with more customisation for each character. One disappointment is the roster, very reduced from BT3, and with some very weird omissions like Ultimate Gohan and Dabura. This is easily the best looking DB game to date. Lots of modes to play, an in-depth story mode with many what-if scenarios and a very deep customisation system for every character from specials move to item and stats.

I was so excited to try again this game, after playing it when it was released. My opinion is really mixed. What I like: -the graphics are very good, the animations of the attacks are very accurate; -the combat is also very fun, every character has at least two final moves and every combo is really fun to pull of. -the ‘another log’ mode is also really fun, based around completing missions and capturing bases; -the personalisation is straightforward and fun to experiment with What I didn’t like: -the ‘action’ stages are not as fun as I remembered. They feel really gimmicky and I couldn’t wait to play classic stage or a boos stage; -the frame rate also is not great, lots of times the game literally stop to catch up or it doesn’t spawn enemies so you stand around waiting; -there isn’t much content: the main log is pretty long and also another log is very fun even though most of the stages are repeated through all the characters and the challenges mode only contains two very short levels. No dlcs available since the game is delisted. In the end if you are a fun of one piece I really recommend it tho,the game is fun and I always like to see how a series grows with each consecutive release.
