A fantastic action horror game with a shorter runtime and mixed pacing. One moment you'll be running away scared as Grace and the next you're mowing down zombies spouting one-liners from the 90s as Leon. Their stories intertwine and offer a fun romp in the RE world. Unfortunately the villain Zeno is underwhelming and forgettable while boss fights are mostly recycled from previous entries in the series. The game feels more like a compilation of great moments rather than a fully fleshed out game. Dual narrative felt more of a nuisance as Grace felt too limited. Puzzles were solid and there was a lot of backtracking. Environments looked great and there were quite a few jump scare. The game is a step back from the amazing RE4Remake and RE2Remake but a solid game nonetheless. I recommend playing it!

One of the best superhero stories in gaming! You get to play as a retired hero, down on his luck guy with a grudge that gets a second chance by supporting other heroes. You do that by dispatching the right person for the job and min/maxing the team. And the team doesn't want to work together. It's up to you how to manage things. The workplace drama and romance mixed with action packed events makes every episode of this game memorable. You get to choose and shape the way the story goes and how you get to shape those around you. Great animation paired with well written dialogue elevates this above the small studio that made it. Fantastic game!

The best horror game I've played. Tense, atmospheric and with a great twist at the end. You're playing a more grounded character, always on the run and trying to scavenge resources. The town has a mind of it's own and takes you to some dark places. Combat is tense. Both the gunplay and melee feel deliberately slow and clunky in a way that makes you fear combat. Characters you meet are going to a dark path and you unravel their mystery slowly, getting **** in and dealing with the aftermath of their horror journey. It's a great game, a benchmark for horror games for years to come!

Fantastic story held back by dated level design and clunky combat. Voice acting, plot and overall creativity of the game's world and characters made me stay glued to the screen the whole way to the end. Boss fights are rather simple and there's plenty of ammo, weapons and gadgets to use. The game is more on the easy side if you choose to go Rambo and fight your way out of every encounter. Stealth is rewarding, slow and enjoyable. Enemy AI leaves a bit to be desired. Graphics wise it's quite a showcase for Unreal Engine. Environments and characters look great! I highly recommend playing this game.

From a visual standpoint the game is quite the looker. Character models are very detailed, animations are smooth and the game runs great on the base PS5. The story stitches together anre reimagines some popular X-men stories and villains in a new way with a lot of twists and turns. The game features a lot of tropes of the character- amnesia, revenge, betrayal - and it puts the pieces in place for a potential sequel or maybe an Insomniac Marvel universe. Jean was the standout heroine, being not only very capable but a step beyond her cartoon/movie version. She's no longer in a love triangle or damsel in distress but a force to be reckoned with. Sabertooth was another standout character, with a bit of nuances and added mystery. Overall the story was engaging from start to finish with a lot of standout moments (Walter!). In terms of gameplay you gotta build and keep up your rage as high as possible for as long as possible. The combat becomes very cinematic once you unlock everything but the first 4 hours or so it can feel pretty bare-bones. Bosses and enemy variety is really good once you reach Japan and onward. Stealth is ok and traversal is really well done. There are challenges scattered around to test yourself for high scores and lots of collectibles (mostly whiskey bottles with references on them). Sound is very well done, with great voice acting and song choices as well as atmospheric notes dotted around. The game's difficulty is undermined by the accessibility. I recommend playing above the default difficulty and disabling the quest marker. I really liked the game. Took me about 17 hours to beat it on weapon difficulty. What felt undercooked were Mystique and her overall character arc, the bike sections and Trask sections.
