DISTRAINT7
Apr 6, 2016
Another amazing and breathtaking experience from the same developer who made gamers take part in a journey through themselves with Silence of the Sleep. Distraint makes you realize what it is to be a human, to have a soul, conscience and be responsible for your own actions and choices in life. Restro-styled pixelated graphics, little bit **** soundtrack with decent light effects deserve 7 of 10. Very well done, Jesse. Keep going, I am sure you have tons of ideas to make them all real with these games of yours.

Silence of the Sleep9

It's a deep adventure into yourself, a dating with your most frightening fears, a torture of your consciousness and conscience. This game forces you into the exploration of the inner world of Jacob Reeves and imagine what is waiting for you in the darkest corners of yourself. What would you do if one day you wake up being dead literally inside of your very own mind? 9 of 10. Excellent experience.

Downfall (2009)8
Apr 5, 2016
To me Downfall is a thrilling, disturbing horror adventure, puzzle game. Dark setting, unexpected story twists, music, which makes every situation feel extremely realistic are the essence of it. You literally experience same feelings with the characters as you progress through this amazing story. Genius hand-drawn backgrounds demonstrate what a great amount of effort is required to make gamers believe that characters could be alive and the entire story could happen to anyone of us. Im also familiar with the original game. Both of them are incomparable. While the first one was a sketch, a try to make something unique out of nothing, this remake is surely pretending to be a masterpiece even though it has some important disadvantages. I wish I could compare it with Silence of the Sleep, but apparently these two are absolutely different. Great storytelling, various endings, depending on your personal choice of actions throughout the game, deserve 8 of 10, indeed.

Anna9

Anna hit me like a thunder when it came out. Complex story, hidden in every little detail, splendid and picturesque view outside, mysterious interior of the house make it a game worth playing. Yes, hard puzzles made me irritated and disturbed sometimes at least because some of them were illogical. However, in the end I got used to the thought that it has to be a part of the plot too. Mostly as a binding ribbon that literally says "Everything is not that easy as you may have thought." This game held me frightened, terribly intrigued for such a long time that now I can proudly say it deserves 9 of 10.

The Cat Lady10

How would you make people think of what suicide is like? How would you make them worried for the real price of lives? How to show them what a desperate situation can happen to anyone of us? Indeed, by touching upon these topics in something that cam disturb one's mind, then, "mass mind". The Cat Lady is not a regular horror game. It doesn't make you frightened by only jumpscares. It makes you think of the things you prefer to avoid in real life. Gameplay mostly consists of collecting stuff, solving puzzles, nevertheless, it still gives you intense shivers. If you ask me what The Cat Lady is, I say it is a breathtaking and unique story of a person who has such a meaningless life.

Some see it clearly similar to Castlevania. Symphony of the Night and in my opinion it is true. It has an action gameplay, excellent physics, which is demostrated when you break the wall and a stone block drops down with the character, you can slightly move it from side to side, all the "special effects" needed, which sre making the game's atmosphere darker. It literally adsorbs the player as you pass through first stages and get into the game. Describing the soundtrack I just can't use words like "mesmerizing", "awesome", " intense", none of this gets close to what it really feels like. In general, the music is just enchanting. I always followed the idea that music is the essential part of every game. Who would play a silent game with pleasure? In my opinion, it cant get lower than 10/10. Excellent.
