A very precise and disturbing construction around the fear of what is hidden and twisted around our actions, seen from the perspective of the other. A story where we are the monster that society wants to destroy. Masterpiece.
I know is a little bit controversial the realization of the theme, but sometimes is necessary dor audiences to get a shock in the real world to understand. Thats the Von Trier, Arronofski, Haneke and Pasolini cinema. Sometimes we have to see the human side of the icons to see ourselves and our world, unfortunetly.
Very good baroque aesthetic for a modern horror movie. Although it is overshadowed by its almost hidden occultism it is a good horror movie. Much superior to its predecessor.
Very pretentious wanting to structure a film through tantrums by the director embodied in a story without coherence or almost nonexistent. He wants us to avoid the gift of criticism simply to avoid criticism.
A horror movie is not defined by the fear it may cause in the viewer. It is defined by the successful or ingenious deployment it can make so that the viewer can react. This movie is not any of them. It is lost in nebulous symbolism and in a Machiavellian history, which at the same time is a dark exploration of the collective mind, known as family. The film ends in a vortex meaningless, predictable, with sudden plot twists, and makes the viewer believe that the horror is to see horror, when it should be to feel the horror. An aberration
The poetic side of a repressed squad of soldiers. Beatiful.A movie where the landscapes are so beautiful, the looks so exciting and peace is the story's storyteller.
You can not trust a horror movie when the main base is a political satire / criticism. It can go in two directions: in an abstract critique of the fear of power, or in a comedy about the imposition of pride on the values of everyday life. In the film there is no middle point, not having a defined identity. A disappointment.
Dialectics, metaphysics and anthropology are sciences that are structured by a simple and complex tool: language. And that's what the pelucla is about, to build, through communicative language, space, mind, time and the elements that surround us. All with a loose but useful anti-war discourse. A wonderful movie from start to finish.
In an icy atmosphere hot bullets are coming, and that's what the film talks about: the peace interfered with by violence and death and desolation are shown in the last plane. A beautiful movie.
The evil does not come from the other side of the border or from cocaine or heroin, it comes from within the human being. Even if the wolves are disguised as sheep. This movie is an absorbing introspection to hell. But not to the biblical hell or to the hell of Dante, if not to the hell that the human has created. Simply a marvel.
The sweet taste of success is here the main axis of the story. A historical document of the cultural phenomenon of the last century: beatlemania. And a fun glorification to rock, to fellowship and to all things that shine without the need for colors. A classic from the 60s.
Music has always wanted to be eternally married to images because of that search for art to embrace beauty in all life through the mecionado. The film takes us to live inside the music of the insurmountable Beatles. And what we find is an animated innovation vjamas before seen: dreams, abstractions, acid and surreal trips and art in its most pure state.
A masterpiece.
A poetic film as if it were a John Ford movie. Not only is it a goodbye movie, but it is an epicle that shows the most human side of the superhero. There are no glorious battles, no people to do your deeds, there are no great rewards at the end, and there is not even an end, the only thing is the heroes in front of the epligro, which uses its biggest weapon to fight against him: his spirit. And it serves as the future of the heroes and how nothing is neither powerful nor eternal. Magnificent

An unusual allegory to the danger of pleasure, but also a dominant realization that shows us the conformism of modern life. The film takes us to where the postmodern existential crisis and the daily conformism begin. All concealed in an intelligent entity, which follows us and continues to die .. as well as everything mentioned above. Spectacular.
A new way of telling two periods of Mexico: the future of a tyranny at the beginning of the new millennium, and a free interpretation of the Spanish conquest. The film takes us along roads of life, where each path leads us to a destination that we will not know how to be the same again. Places where the hidden before our eyes is revealed, and where you can also find what we have always sought ... just need to get lost and find the way.
Plot that seeks involuntary redemption. A nihilistic character before his feelings and not before his thought. Sex without feelings, that means nothing and that only makes us see the sentimental repression, making it look for a carnal relationship. A supposed and forced search of God through the search of his position with people. A film that seeks to fit with strength, that has no style or grace, is too pedantic, and lacks soul and is only a rotten body, which only works to satisfy the director and anyone else. Pure nonsense.
First love is always unexpected and beautiful, and the movie does not show it in a charming way. And although it is very poetic, the form is simple and minimalist, achieving that a potential masterpiece is overshadowed by its summery simplicity. Although it does not lose the opotunity to make us shed a tear.
A love letter to the movies, but written with an unbridled and even terrifying intelligence. How do we look for a way out of everyday life in the cinema, only to meet the earthly and psychological demands with which we must fulfill day by day. Terrifyingly charming.
The most complex and the most sublime portrait of dreams and cinema. A woman enclosed by her dreams due to the alienating nature of human life. A woman who seeks an exit from her reality through the labyrinths of the mind. A masterpiece.
A fascinating introspection of how the dead link death with life through obscure and obsessive ties that unite us to a death-defiled life. The masterpiece of the director.
A search for God, not for an earthly teacher. A search for a teacher that shows the existence of the human soul, and not of metahuman knowledge. But silence is the crumb that marks the tumultuous path we all go through to where the answers are. A masterpiece.
A film where the cinematographic force is as strong as that of a mouse. The dialogues are interesting ... but when putting it in place we put it next to where the mediocre movies are placed. Mediocre in the sense of wanting to evoke literature and not the cinema. A shameful movie.
A contradictory movie Through an alienating realization it deals with themes of independence and art. The form does not agree with the substance and that is why it can be a film misplaced and medium in terms of certain characteristics that can be turned into errors. Too much verb and little movement. A non-existent movie.
A film that provokes falsehood that results in an alienation that in the average viewer will cause happiness, but in some experienced people will achieve a mediatic nervous pulse of which only the symptoms of a presumptuous homage to the cinema will be seen; but that in reality is a Hollywood conquest towards the indie. A masked dictatorship in a homage.
When the cinema wants to explore the human soul and reality, it usually searches the characters to find them through our search of them. But in an unreal movie where the characters are simple figures of wax is very impossible. In the war where the deepest emotions of the human being are shown there is nothing in this case. And the narrative form is a simple complacent work in which the meaning of the ending gives nothing substantial. A movie about cowards.
The sequel serves as the antithesis of the first film. While the first movie raised the question of reality, the sequel encourages us to believe in it. To stop debugging abstractions and start creating and strengthening them until they become reality. Given the doubts of postmodernism there are the lights that illuminate the reality of spiritualism. And the movie encourages us to find each other. A masterpiece.
The intervention of an "author" in a work that is conceived as a product and not as a work is unnecessary. And that is the root of evil. Freedom in art only exists if art can be free, and not tied to pretenses and business demands or escapes from the routine. A ghost movie, because it has a soul, but a soul that can not lead to interact with the material world in a spiritual way.
The light illuminates the soul. But the moon reminds us that we are in darkness. It is the meaning of the film that this light shines to dim the darkness and see everything that was hidden in it.
A film that talks about union and separation. Illustrating how bright and glorious may be the beginning, and how sad and bitter it may be the end. The film is blue as the color of the tears of love and sadness. A delight of what is love in decadence and in it. Wonderful.
A movie about a search. But what the film is looking for is a simple manipulative result. It seeks to implant a false nostalgia in the viewer. It seeks to impose a message of protest on the spectator. Through free and invisible techniques the film tries to take up reiterative themes in the Mexican social sphere. But what really finds is a photographic pleasure and a beautiful soundtrack, which unfortunately is linked to a manipulative film and too corny.
A film that contains the prejudices that auteur cinema has. It not only puts them, but glorifies them. Using themes, techniques, and other legendary directors of history with a disastrous care this film introduces us not to an alienated life, but to a film alienated from so much abstract revisitation. We find at the end a buffoon ... an eternal relay (taking as reference to "The Eternal Husband" by Dostoyevsky). Too awful.
Silence without something to say. Gestures that say nothing, or very little. Tears that scream so loud, but words that say so little. Lives without movement, but light that illuminates the soul. This film finds what it does not look for. It is lost in simple cinephile winks, abstractions and in visual complacencies. It is not a reflection on the nature of the soul, it is simply a mirror to it ... but it only reflects and does not make us look.
