Castle Crashers9

The Behemoth never ceases to amaze. It can be a tad bit frustrating at times due to the enemy's difficulty level, but if you're willing to keep fighting, you can find the brilliant humor and all of the other elements that make Castle Crashers a timeless game. I never thought I'd have this much fun playing a hack and slash game.

If you manage to find a friend who's willing to play, this can actually be an incredible experience. There are a ton of secret paths with new enemies in each one, so there actually is a bit of sense of replayability. All in all, it is a bit pricey, but after a full run through, it's hard to say you regret buying it.

Probably my favorite game of all time. Story:Breathtaking. Visuals:Beautiful. Gameplay:Indescribable (even when it's just the same thing that you just did ten minutes ago). It's something that you really just have to experience for yourself. The most important thing is to not let the time period get you down. Until it was combined with this game, I hated absolutely everything about this time in American and World history, and I'm still uninterested in it now, but it is just so perfect for this game.

I'm giving this a 1. Why? Because it's free. If it had cost any money at all, I would have nominated it for worst game of the year. The only compliment that i can give it is that it's not "Yaris".

If you're 12, you have to buy this game!!! If you're not, then I'd still suggest playing the trial version. It is actually pretty good for an XBLA game, and it's got a nice sense of humor, but it does eventually become repetitive. It's biggest flaw is actually Splosion Man himself. If you are able to go through the entire game without telling him to shut up at least 5 times, then you probably weren't listening very hard.

So boring. Unless I'm in a room full of people who have absolutely no desire to have a turn, and are encouraging me to hit that old lady with my firetruck, then it's hard for me to play this game for more than ten minutes.

Borderlands is an extremely fun and interesting, new experience... for a few hours. I've had friends that have played it until they've maxed out their levels, and I don't honestly understand how that's possible. It's another game where the first play through can actually be quite amusing and contain things that no one else has had the mind to create yet, but at a certain point, you realize that you just wanna put the controller down. It's also far from lag-free, and unless you're willing to shell out the money for the many DLC's, I'd suggest a rental.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. If you're a fan of anything dark, twisted, puzzling, creative, and actually scary at times (something rare in today's games) then this is not one to pass up. A second play through probably won't give you that initial thrill that you should feel the first time, and the entire game can be completed in just a few hours, but those are the only things that you can even consider flaws. As far as downloadable games go, it's nearly impossible to top.
