Thor, Green Lantern, X-Men: First Class and Captain America: The First Avenger. 2011 is a 'Minor American Superhero Films' year I guess, while 2012 is gonna be 'Major American Superhero Films' year because 'BigBang' movies like The Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel's The Avengers and also one of the most anticipated films in movie history, The Dark Knight Rises, will be released in that year. To initiate, I'm greatly disappointed with CA: TFA. I expected more,I assumed fresh contents will be shown but the ideas which entertain me are recycled stuffs. I felt that this movie is mediocre at it's best. Scenes after scenes are filled with bland dialogues (bad script!), which successfully left me detached in the middle of the film, and somehow murdered my interest. The movie could have at least left me hanging to the rope, but it further killed me with an uninteresting characters and boring and predictable plot. 'TSK'! I'm disheartened, I was expecting something spectacular. Acting-wise, It has nothing much to offer. Chris Evan, being the main actor of the movie, is somehow negligible but still nonetheless, I guess his performance is not too bad and sincerely believe that he is a talented actor. He is more that what he appears to be in the movie. Despite having some ordinary performances, I'm captivated by Hugo Weaving's presence as the primary villain of this picture, Red Skull. There's some kind of charm or charisma in his performance. His body language and 'pleasure to listen to' English accent is desirable, I would vote that Hugo Heaving is one of the reasons on why this movie is still worthy to witness. Still, Captain America is an appealing motion picture. I admire the well designed costumes and some of the fine artistic elements of the films. The sets of the film are incredibly interesting and it is very successful in dragging me into the 1940s world. Those efforts are well navigated, and yes it accomplished. I picked X-Men: First Class to be the best American Superhero movie of 2011 because it has a tight script, fine performances and well-developed characters but sadly, Captain America: TFA does not possessed all those offers. Here you go, another good film of 2011. It seems like an ordinary action/fighting but one must not be deceived by the looks of this film, there's 'Extra' delight in it. warrior features a less-popular cast which includes Joel Edgerton, Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte and Jeniffer Morisson. Perhaps the biggest letdown of Warrior is the clichés which it possesses. It follows the route of many mediocre films, a character is equipped with insufficient talent or experience, faces a problem, joins a competition or goes for a fight and ultimately achieves victory, and you will see that in Warrior. Despite being clichéd, it is still well-occupied with a properly written screenplay. Fine dialogue throughout the movie and what makes Warrior a worthy experience is the moving elements that it contains. A fiercely moving motion picture is what Warrior is. The fighting scenes of the film, which takes up the majority of the movie's moments, are choreographed wonderfully. Having established a fine direction for it's action scenes during the movie's final hours, is like witnessing a real MMA matches in high definition, rather than watching a film, and I think that is an utmost quality of movie-making and I could conclude that Gavin O'Connor is a promising, talented and 'far above the level of mediocrity' filmmaker. The acting performances in this film are spectacular. Tom hardy plays Tommy Conlon whose character is disturbed by past events which made him 'harder'. Hardy's performance in this film is so good that I would say 'It could have knocked me out for a second' and I think Tom Hardy is one of the most consistent actors working in Hollywood today. On the other side of the note, there is Joel Edgerton, a completely unknown Australian actor to me, who plays Brendan Conlon and too gives a delightful performance. The element which makes Edgerton's delivery is good is the naturalistic materials which he possessed, and he's well composed too. But, in my opinion, the actor which stands out from the rest is Nick Nolte. His portrayal of a father filled with mistakes moved me much. In addition, Nolte's perfect navigation on his body movement, facial expression and verbal communication is perfect and that will lead to a conclusion that Nick Nolte is a very skilled actor. Yes, Warrior is very much clichéd, but I guess those clichés are neutralized by fine performances and impeccable moving moments. A great film, but not a masterpiece for sure. Quentin Tarantino, a formidable filmmaker in Hollywood, who has masterminded great pictures like RESERVOIR DOGS and PULP FICTION, is also hugely responsible for the greatness behind KILL BILL: VOLUME 1 (KB1). KILL BILL was at first being scheduled for a single movie, but that single movie exceeds a running time of over four hours. The decision to separate the source into two parts was favourable KB1 was released in late 2003 while its sequel, KB2, was released in early 2004. To me, KB1 is a cinematic masterpiece. Everything in the movie was being meticulously orchestrated, right from the start of the movie to the end of it. I would say the movie is just tight. You would wish to imagine a tight, ripped body of a person, that's KB1. Editing of this movie is just sharp and great writing too. An element which caught my attention is the camera work itself I would say they are highly artistic and imaginative. In one particular scene, Tarantino exploited a long impeccable tracking shot with no cuts, and it is brilliant. Beyond the near-perfect cinematic experience which Tarantino has given us, Uma Thurman's performance deserved a praise too. She manipulated her character extremely well which I think it is being overlooked, her performance is decent. Her character in the film is boiling with sadness and anger and for example, in one scene, you could witness that pain or anger through Thurman's expression on her face that marks the work **** actress. As a whole, this movie is daringly beautiful. The plot is simple, but Tarantino's clever navigation for this movie is excellent. Could I say it? Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather Part II, a golden cinema from the era of 1970s. Exaggerating? Over-Praised? Nope. If one looks back at that wonderful decade of cinema, he or she would see 'Colossal' films like Taxi Driver, Apocalypse Now, Annie Hall, Means Streets, Jaws, Chinatown, The Godfather (Its Predecessor) and many more. But, I think, the film which captures 6 Academy Awards (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Art-Direction and Best Actor in a Supporting Role) surpasses them all, and that film is The Godfather Part II. To begin with it's acting would be a pleasure to me. "Sun rising to shine the world" That would be the expression to depict it's masterful acting. Well supported by it's supporting players and that include Robert Duvall (extremely impressive), John Cazale, Lee Strasberg and Michael V. Gazzo. Al Pacino plays the cold Michael Corleone, who's delivery entertained me with some kind of realism. Just rightfully perfect, I could conclude that he's transformed or easily put, Al gives a perfect performance which deserved an Oscar for best performance of the year. Just somewhere in that corner of brilliance, one could see a composed acting of Robert Deniro as young Vito Corleone. It is like pure cloud gathering all around him, truly an unforgettable contribution. In summary, it could be commented that this piece is a well acted motion picture. The element which grasped my attention is Coppola's method of slow or methodical filmmaking which captures the beauty of this cinema. Beautifully shot from start to finish, it is a breathtaking sight of grandeur. This film is a cleverly written piece too. Completed with inspiring dialogue, attractive epic storytelling and it could be easily 'snatched'that it is masterful. Many would disagree with me because I'm going to, or will always name this picture as 'The Greatest Film Ever Made'.
