There are few redeeming factors of this game. The only positive thing I can say about this game is it's a okay Harvest Moon game when it isn't crashing or suffering from horrible framerate issues. The characters are fairly interesting I suppose and the new trench system is nice. In terms of bad things not associated with poor programming, I have a few thoughts. First, the save system is godawful. You cannot save unless you sleep as you have a "save and sleep" option. There's no notebook, journal, diary, etc. Combined with the instability of the product, this is a bit of a nightmare at times as you can lose a whole days worth of work to the game freezing. The towns feel dead. I have no idea why Marvelous decided to split the towns. It's a pain in the ass to have to go from one town to another just to grab a request from that board, to talk or to buy something. In terms of stability, the game constantly freezes and I lag when going to new areas in the mountains. While around large numbers of crops, you also lag. All in all, if you want to play this game, buy the DS version instead of this buggy mess. A better suggestion would be to grab Rune Factory Tides on the PS3 or Wii. You'll be happier with whichever of these options you choose.
