I can't in good faith rate a game that runs so poorly much higher. I know people say "oh it is just the hardware", but that should be a thing they had in mind when releasing the game. Drops to 15fps should be completely unacceptable.
The series gets a lot of undeserved hate. Don't go in expecting an oscar-worthy masterpiece with deep social commentary and you'll love it. This game is pure fun most of the time, and the characters can be surprisingly likeable despite the campy story.
I could be a bit harsh here, but the game lacked a lot in the personality and story department. The gameplay was solid, and the monsters were neat, but everything around it felt a bit mediocre to me.
My favourite game I have played so far this decade, and possibly all-time. The story fully grabbed me and the parry/dodge system was a genius way to break the monotony of traditional turn-based combat.
