Tonic Trouble3
Mar 20, 2022
Rayman 2: The Great Escape is one of the most tedious, boring and vapid games I have ever trudged through. It shakes to the core my faith in mankind to distinguish between good and bad. Tonic Trouble is a little better than that.

Castlevania (1998)9
Mar 19, 2022
As a man, I generally enjoy playing games in which I am a male. A lot of female characters in media are obnoxious, and can come off as attention grubbing (Lara Croft, etc). This is one game where they designed and really thought out a heroine who is regular but fantastic, and a joy to take control of. Navigating the somber 3D environments that nod endlessly to the NES makes me wonder why many Castlevania purists turn their nose up at this cart - perhaps because being Carrie Fernandez is more fun than ol' Reinhardt? (Though his presence begs you to play through once more, extending it's replayability considerably). This is a dark and impressive game, and belongs next to every N64.

I struggle to find anything negative to say about this game. I struggle to feel anything negative while playing this game. So often, I don't get the hype. It's misplaced, confused. But here, I fully understand it. Relentlessly fun.

A Lukewarm response to this game seems almost universal. You get a jetpack.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape2
Feb 14, 2022
This is the only negative review of Rayman 2 in the world. I somehow played an extended chore. It's a case **** that looks quite good but doesn't play the same, besides a few neat rudimentary mechanics (ball throwing and ear spinning). The first half had my hopes up, but imagine the last half of the game is hidden to many - it's relatively poorly designed.

Forsaken (1998)3
Feb 14, 2022
I understand the multi-player deathmatch is what gives this title it's credibility, but if you don't have friends and play only through the single player campaign this game becomes a frustrating nightmare - truly forsaken. The most objective failure is it's complete lack of a final level and boss; the end is a slightly tweaked tour of levels and bosses you've already beaten. With how endlessly difficult the game is, what a slap in the face to anyone who spent the necessary weeks to make it there with only 5 lives.

Body Harvest8
Feb 14, 2022
Body Harvest plays a lot on the curiosity of the player. The vast, unexplored areas that are seen at the beginning of each section deliver a unique excitement as you begin to unfurl the maps, with a worthy payoff in the surreal encounters and heated combat packed in this game. He will run like he has the tightest wedgie a man has ever faced, but given the importance of exploration in games, it is hard not to like this once it has been given the time of day.

Hercules: The Legendary Journeys8
Feb 4, 2022
An unfairly treated piece of gold in the 64 library. Comparison doesn't seem like a valid form of critique - what does another game have to do with this one? The environments are lush, colourful and often mesmerizing to observe. If you allow yourself to be entertained and prevent yourself from wanting it to be something else, this is quite an enjoyable experience with just a few things that seem missing.

(N64 version) I wish this were Lego Island I won't go easy on it, it says it's for everyone. Indeed my nostalgia goggles were quickly fogged. The warp power-up is neat
