Television shows about advertising, like most professions, are generally more compelling as fiction, not fact. That's certainly the case here.

A sharply-made if slightly off-putting reality series that follows different advertising agencies each week as they compete for new accounts.

There's an extent to which watching ad development becomes like watching someone write a song or a book. Unless you're in the game yourself, the result is the only part you really care about.
