Six young hopefuls search for stardom in Los Angeles by day and crash at the less-than-luxurious Deluxe Suites Motel ("The Lux") by night.

Tariq gets the opportunity to work with a famous rapper. Abby and Raquel go to the same audition. Nick works as a stand-in on Connor's TV set. Alicia meets a kind has-been actor.

Comedian Nick has a breakthrough on stage. Alicia receives a proposition. Raquel is dropped by her agency. Abby gets a role but it turns out to be less than she expected.

At an improv class, Nick meets a kindred spirit, and Connor is having a hard time keeping up appearances on set. Tariq brings Abby to the studio, but Kaldrick scares her off. Raquel makes a mistake with Gary, and Alicia has her first day.

Nick and Abby try to get something started. Raquel gets exactly what she wants and Alicia catches the break she's been waiting for.
