Wanted to love this show and didn't. Maybe just getting older has made me more jaded.

A rural family discovers that some sort of entity is surrounding their property. A few friends drop by to add to the mystery (and the blood count). This series moves slowly with bits of information provided in each episode. Six eps in, we know more about the mystery, but there's little suspense or surprise. The concept behind the "visitor" has been done before. The characters aren't especially interesting and the dialogue isn't any better. I'll sit thru the final chapters, just because I started it and must know how it ends. Actually I've read that a second season is hinted, so the ending may not provide much fulfillment as hoped.
