Although a short TV show, the nine episodes are easy to watch and keep your wondering what happens next. A great show to unwind and laugh to. I really hope a second season premieres.

Comparisons to “Friends” are inevitable, but this series lacks the comic punch of that classic. The series revolves around five young people who are launching their careers in Manhattan and happen to live in the same building. This comes from Mindy Kaling, whose recent shows have been enjoyable (“Running Point” and “The Sex Lives of College Girls”). Even though this does have an affable energy, it lacks the outright laffs that would make it more fun. The cast is lively, but there aren’t any especially quirky individuals. Will Angus is the only one who has a comic edge and it’s only peripheral. Look for Richmond native Constance Wu as the **** stylist boss. There are only 9 eps, so each one is crammed with brief interactions. Even so, their relationships and jobs offer little additional stimulation. It’s sufficiently pleasant that a second season might allow them to grow and realize more comic potential. Some say that it took, 2-3 seasons for "Friends" to find it's footing.
