I really wasn't impressed by season 1. I mean it wasn't good it wasn't bad. But it was a fun watch. I watch season 2 expecting the same thing Man was I wrong. I gave it a 8 out of 10 at a sheer creativity. I mean some things have been done before but all in all a pretty original story and for me that's what counts the most.

This is amazing. This is what constitutes an 'adult animation'. Unlike The Invicible, a cartoon that mistook gore and vulgarity for being "mature", Hit-Monkey uses animation as part of the narrative and expression of its dive to explore the dichotomy of man and nature. But what makes it tryuly unique is that the animators forfeited the unspoken "western animation" molds/guidlines. freeing themselves to shape the visual narrative and expressions that tells much more than the spoken words. This might as well be considered a trully good "anime". Not a wanna-be(Avatar), but a uniquely stylized and captivating visual novel.

Hit Monkey is a delightful romp that hits all of the familiar notes of the reluctant assassin genre while feeling playful and occasionally heartfelt. Great voice acting with George Takei as a particularly standout, effective character design and good fight animation. Better than it had any right to be, to be fair. A second season would be welcome.

Hit-Monkey hits it out of park with an absolute hilarious and non-stop badass story laden down with Marvel references. Definitely worth a rewatch. Had an absolute **** blast with this series and really hope we get a second season. Lady Bullseye was an excellent villain and Sudeikis is non stop busting guts.
