It plays fast and loose with history and political ideals, sure, but more than anything, it’s a fantasy – and a spooky one at that. La Révolution is indulgent, bloody, and mysterious. What more could you want?

The series’ weaknesses lie not with the capable cast, but in its writing.

For those who loved Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, surely will love this series too. I really hope in a second season because of the open final. I look forward to it!

For people who look for historical accuracy, this is not for you. This is about as historically correct as Sherlock Holmes vs Count Dracula. Uncut pure historical pulp horror of exquisite quality. Too bad they only made one season it deserves at least three seasons or more.

Worst in Netflix 2020, and in the recent past too. It was a suffering to watch it to the crappy ending.
